Back in early 2000, I used to send creative fan mails to Candy Magazine Editors! :)
My first published article in Candy, back in 2006!
What a privilege to be part of the Candy Council of Cool 7!
Last year, I got this SWEET text from Candy Mag's then EIC Ms. Mia Custodio! :)
I used to join the Candy Fair's bazaar! First time to miss it last year, when they don't have a bazaar in the fair! I hope they do this again this year! Nakakamiss!
I will never forget that one year stint as a Candy Magazine correspondent by being part of the COC (along with fellow blogger Tracy Ayson!:)). It opened a lot of doors (the editors are super supportive of my online accessories shop Anagon Collection and featured my early works in the mag!), and I got to work close with the Candy Editors--people I really look up to! One reason why I took up journalism in college was because I wanted to be part of Candymag! Check out the fun things I did (like interviewing my favorite band!) in this page.
For more than a decade now, Candy magazine has been the Pinay teen’s best friend, helping its readers go through adolescence and empowering them to be the best person they can be. This March, Candy girls are in for a big birthday treat as the Philippines
Here are the exciting things to expect in this month's issue:
1) To celebrate 13 sweet and wonderful years, Candy is coming out with a limited edition Candy charm bracelet! You can get the bracelet and camera charm in its March issue and three other crazy-cute charms from April-June.
2) The March issue of Candy is also filled with tips on how to live the best years of your life. Candy sought the help of Magic 89.9’s resident deejays Andi Manzano and Jessica Mendoza to come up with the ultimate Candy Girl’s Guide to Growing Up.
3) Learning to love yourself starts from feeling good inside. Take your cue from your favorite Candy cover girls like Ashley Tisdale, Leighton Meester, and Selena Gomez as they share helpful tips on how you, too, can learn to love your own body – curves, flaws, and all.
4) The March issue of Candy also features Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer, who makes a splash in this issue by revealing what it takes to win his heart!
5) Expect a really sweet giveaway in my blog, Candy Girls! You'll go gaga over the prize so watch out! :)
