Last Saturday, I was up ng 7am palang (mira-col!) to attend a 9 am Make Up Class in Emerald Ave, Ortigas, organized by my college journalism batchmate Anna Angeles. The best part, it was for P300 palang, her intro price! :)
Anna, after being a corporate slave for some years, decided to take the road less traveled, studied in Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty--and is now a FULL TIME MUA (make up artist)! I really look up to people who knows what they want, and goes for it--no matter how huge the obstacles they have to go through!
During the Make Up 101, Anna went through the step-by-step procedure on putting on make-up. The class is more on personal make up, and it all starts with skin care! She also talked about different make ups and tools---like why we need SO MUCH brushes just to apply our eyeshadow, haha!
At the end of her complete and beauty-overload presentation, Anna concluded aptly with:
Agree! :)
And now, for the fun part! We checked out her Big Make Up Maleta...I love all the products! Nakakalula!

We also brought our own make ups, so Anna can see them. She also asked us how we usually put on our make ups. Here's my classmate Cat and Anna, talking about recommended lipsticks and eye shadow brands (I'd love to have Revlon's matte shadows!):
What I love about this class is that our teacher tries to maximize our existing kits! :) Making the most of what we have, ba! But I still listed what I lack from my personal stash!
Cat's cool palette:
Instant Make Over!
Anna working her magic on Cat:
A diversion to Cat's typical look, Anna applied blue and greenish eye shadows on her for a change! :)
My turn! Sobrang dry skin pala ng lola niyo, from recent beach trip, akk!
My humble (and very limited!) kit, pak!
I realized wala akong brushes, eye shadows, and even foundation and concealer, hahaha! Sobrang newbie lang!
Anna used my L'Oreal eye shadows, and even groomed my forest-y brows (haha).
Here's my new look--posing with our teacher Anna! :)
With classmate Cath! :) I really had fun talking with her, she's so young but I can see that she's an amazing girl :)
Everyone! :))
It was a productive Saturday morning. I don't have plans on becoming a make up artist, but I guess it's nice to know even the basics on applying my own make up in case I have events to go to--and to look nice even on ordinary days! Ang tagal ko nadin gusto maka-attend ng make up class kasi hindi ako marunong mag make up talaga (hahaha), so this is actually one tick off my bucket list. :) Thank you Anna!
Interested to attend??? Watch out for Anna's next beauty sesh, will update you in this blog! ;)
