AKA: The dinner that made us want to convert into food bloggers. (hehe)
Last night, I had a nice and quiet lafang session with my blog sisterettes and friends at the Mango Tree Bistro in Greenbelt 5.
Jon Herrera
Ako personally excited ako for this dahil ilang linggo nadin ang events namin ay sa bar setting ang drama--kaya for a shange ang saya nung sit-down dinner naman, lie-low kung san mas makakapag chikahan kami ng bongga.
Kinikilig padin ako when I see my nameplate:
Gandara lang ng mga kaharap key: Vern Enciso, Aisa Ipac, and Aie Corpuz :-)
Bonggels din side ko: Krissy Cruz, Me!, and idol Sarah Tirona :)
After a few chikahans...Dinner was served!
Mango Tree Bistro is a vegetarian-friendly resto! :)
Also had the Tom Yum Goong soup... Asim, salap! ;P
These are shrimps daw, so pass akey! Pero checkout the nice presentation noh! Takam!? ;-)
My girls were handing the salad plates na to me (hahaha), so nun medyo nauhaw na me, I had the Thai Iced Tea...milk tea siya! Sarap, super perfect for the maaanghang foods - na peg ng mga Thai dishes!
Since Sarah and I do not eat beef, we ordered for a special curry: with chicken and eggplants (Ms. Eggplant talaga! Hehe!)! Ang salap ng sauce!!!
A burst of flavors, a perfect marriage of ingredients for my taste buds!
Yown! Pang food blogger na! Haha!
Sarah introduced me to the yellow bellpepper...Ang salap niya ihalo sa curry sauce. :P
In between bites, I learned that Sarah took up a culinary course back in college.
Me: So nagluluto ka talaga?! Cool!
Sarah: *nods* :)
Me: Ay oo nga naman, culinary nga e. ;p
Another favorite! Phad Thai Jay!
:) Tracy Ayson, Bjorn Bedayo, Vern Enciso, and Aisa Ipac! :)
Birthday ni Tracy! Hehehe! :) With Keigh Jalbuena and Krissy Cruz!
With Connect Agency's Carina Alejandrino, Pax, Tracy, and Aie!
Clean plate nako, suko na! Hahaha!
So 50s! :) Bjorn and Vern ang cute niyo! :D
Chikahan on the other corner: Tracy, Camille Co, and Lissa Kahayon! :)
Picture muna girls! :-)
Tracy Ayson, Camille Co, and Lissa Kahayon
Akala ko dun na nagtatapos, but no! Desserts naman!
Sweet Rice with Fresh Mango
Ang salap nun sweet rice--sticky! ;p I love flavors, iba yun dating ng dessert nato for my palate (ansabe? Hahaha)
Hahaha! Ganun nga siya siguro kasalap!
The perfect way to end a lovely dinner....
The others had White Wine,
while Sarah and I capped the night with Mango Tree Bellini! :)
Ang highlight ko for that "event" was the nice conversation I had with my dinner-seatmate Sarah. Chikahang bongga kami on life ni Ateng, and I learned a lot about her. Sa looong talk namin, I remembered asking her if nag quarter life din ba siya noon (hindi siya mukhang lagpas 25 na noh? :) bongga beauty ni Sarah!)...And confeermed naman na everyone goes through that phase. Nag stick sa akin yung advice niya that night na: "If may gusto kang gawin, pag isipan mo muna ng mabuting mabuti if gusto mo talaga." =)
Thank you Mango Tree Bistro, Connect Agency, Vern, Sir Jon, and Carina for the nice chill night with my blog friends. :) Definitely one for the books. :)
Chica-laidback lang na look for a dinner out with friends (nuks). Also, I made sure naka jackey ako para pag lumaki ang tyan, hehehe. ;-)
Craving for Thai Foods?
