December 2009.

One of the best ever: Barx 2009 Christmas party! :-) I love it that we were almost complete, since Abi went home from States after 4 (or 5??) years! It was also the start of a series of other good times like random Barx dinners, inumans, and our New Year Bora trip! I love balik bayans! ;) hehehe!

On this particular night, we also had games like Pinoy Henyo, "exchange gift" with a twist (agawan, haha), and charades. My girls and I are all in our 20s, but that night, it was as if we were transported back in high school--carefree of the world! :D It was fun and crazy!

Trying out mobile blogging again here at ana's while waiting for my turn to bathe haha. had a super long day yesterday with dear Pax when we teamed up for a styling stint with four models (all girls) and twelve themes! The extra challenge was that the themes were really really vast: think jumping from ballerina, to hawaiian, to hiphop! It wasnt an easy day, with lack of prep time and last minute info from the organizers, but at the end of the tiring day, i am actually happy with the people i met, and the experience this day gave to me...grace under pressure at it's finest. Anyhooo, will blog more next time hehe! Will watch ust tigers again later, hoorah for weekends!=)

When I tie it like this ^^ and it looks like I just had a really daring hair cut, hehe...When all I did was paying attention to my hair after taking a bath haha! ;p

Not so fond of drying my hair since I'm always late. My prep time when I have to go out is around 2 hours, but my coffee time and internet time seem to occupy this "allowance", that maybe someday I have to adjust my alarm 3 hours in advance. ;p

Anyhooo...Like this morning, have to leave for Cubao by 8 (to reach there by 9.30, thanks to MRT!)...And it's already past 7! :p Will have to meet Pax there for a styling stint in QC for Women's Mag. 10 sets, 4 girls...Woah! Sooo...Gotta run! ;) Happy weekend guys!!! <3

30 DAYS OF PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORIES

Been changing nail colors since college...Tried them all, from bright to boring! ;p Photo above shows my current collection. =) Just started painting my nails on my own last December (though I am still challenged with painting my right-hand nails using my left hand ;p). I realized it's more..umm...economical? It's even more worth it than going to the salon every week or two, even though Cosmopolitan Salon (a suki of the ones near La Salle and UST! :)) only offers the service at P50! ;p

Here are some of my nail polish stories, thank God I take photos of my rings and I get to document some of my nail colors at the same time, haha!

Neon Green. Bought this in Etude House before the Turquoise-y shade (which was from Face Shop). Some might say they're just the same, but I know it wasn't the color I was looking for! ;p

Meet Upsss galore day, super scared coz I'll be hopping again from one place to another. I seriously need a car now, or stop obsessing with scary cab drivers (I am not much of a taxi-girl when I'm alone. I'd rather commute. ;p). So excited for tomorrow's styling stint too, thanks to Pax! :D I have to prepare everything tonight, so wish us luck!

30 DAYS OF PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORIES

Sorry for skipping days and defeating the real purpose of this blogging challenge, haha! :D (Which is, to exercise daily blogging!) Plus, I don't really have a photo of my town, but here are photos of our neighborhood:

These photos were from years ago, taken with my Diana during the days when I caught the plastic toy camera craze and thought I'd be doing this forever. Haha! :p It's just sad that the long process that the real enthusiasts enjoyed in Lomography didn't stick in me, I actually don't have the patience to wait for film processing. =p Plus the budget!

Almost sold my Diana twice, but was discouraged by random people that I have told my "I am broke and I'll sell all my things" story, haha. Now, I actually miss using Princess Di! (I name my stuff creatively noh? There's also Niks my Nikon digicam, and Noks my Nokia phone haha). I was still going through the stage of experimenting with fresh films where you shoot anything and everything...Like for instance, this set where I shot pictures of our dogs, of sidewalk flowers, neighbors' rooftops, and our streets. Haha!

*Cea is now on her 3rd week (???) with Oishi. And no, she doesn't have unlimited chips. (We always imagine she's a supplier or something haha). But she does take home a Martys Cracklin' chicharon or the Baconette Strips from time to time! ;p

I think it's cool that the fashion/lifestyle blogging world here in the country is growing. As I've said in my friends' thread in Face Book, my big wish now is to establish this little online space of mine so I get to be called a "Blogger" -- with the capital B--just like the ones who get invited in openings and events along with other Bloggers and media groups, etcetera...just like a real journalist! :)

As said in former post, I joined Raleene Cabrera's mini-contest and was chosen as her "reader" to tag along with her for the Robinson's Midtown's The Great Fashion Finds event with other fashion and lifestyle bloggers last Sunday. :) I learned just now that it was organized by Robinsons' Jeff Siy--Mr. Boy Kuripot himself! ;p I am a follower, and even joined the contests before! Haha!

I was super excited since this was my first time to attend a bloggers gathering (although, as a reader, for now. hehe. ;))...Plus, to finally be able to meet the other www-stars and the cool Raleene! :D

PERK #1: FREE LUNCH

Like a real press event, they served us lunch before the activity. We ate at the KKK restaurant, and they made us order whatever we want! :) Raleene and I shared the Sisig Vegetarian (tofu) and the Adobong Kangkong. I think it's cool to have a vegetarian company once in a while. I am so used to finishing up a whole order (or two, because I love variety haha) by myself! ;p

Was also able to talk with other bloggers during the meal: Tin Iglesias whom I just had a rings-transaction with!, Bestie who even asked me why I don't have a reader with me (ok, I'm flattered haha!), and the dearest Pax and Melai: The tandem that never fails to make me laugh! :)

PERK #2: FREE SHOPPING

This is the ultimate highlight of the day! :) We were given GCs (even us readers!) for Robinsons Department Store and selected brands. Also, we had a mini by-pair contest where they made us choose 5 brands in their list that we can explore for great finds, take photos and post in their Face Book page. We picked Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Accessorize, and their department store.

When I wore this without the belt, Raleene told me that the length was too long (O-oh for Ms. Conservative Me, haha)...And although my FAT-a are exposed in this picture, I actually like this! :)

Dorothy Perkins is THE shop for meee! I'm usually afraid to go inside stores if I wouldn't really buy anything (haha sorry naman), but our event passes made me roam around the racks freely...and fit whatever I want without getting "the looks" from the sales ladies. :D

I was eye-ing that gold big bag in the middle, but my kuripot-mode overtook the shopaholic in me that day. Why do I get so thrifty when the budget is there, and why am I so magastos when I don't have money? ;p Haha!

After the "shopping" and photo-shooting part, we headed on our station to make a collage output. It's cool that they have free Wi-Fi! :)

Raleene did her magic ...while I munched on our snacks from Friday's! :)

PERK #4: SURE WIN RAFFLE

Since there's only a few of us in the group, I was sure to get even a minor prize when they announced a raffle! :) It was just our lucky day that we got to bring home to biggest prizes: Raleene won the Sun Wireless Broadband, and I got more GCs! :D

PERK #5: MEETING OTHER BLOGGERS

I guess this cheesy perk tops everything else! ;) Haha! I love it that I was able to meet people I only see online! :) Not only to get "connected" with these people, but I think it's also cool to hear their voices and actually see them "live"--and discover that they're as fashionable and witty as their online selves. ;)
