FLIPSTERS: My New Extra Shoes!

Monday, March 04, 2013

Ang hirap lang to bring extra flats whenever I go to events (and as usual, commute-mode dapat). Tiis-much lang for my back dahil hindi lang naman shoes ang binabaon ko in my oversized bag, minsan cover-up pa (dapat manang-mode lalo pag tric and jeep na), and shempre my SLR for documenting the event.

And then came Flipsters--na hindi lang light-weight, kakasha din kahit sa tiniest clutch like this:

Spent an afternoon last week in Intercontinental Hotel in Makati to learn more about this commuter-friendly innovation (nuks).

The gathering was set in the hotel's poolside, lovet.

Pili naaa! Check out the different Flipsters on-display during the event:

Just in time for summer, Flipsters also introduced new color additions. Initially offered in elegant neutral shades, the sandals are now available in summer hues of purple, blue, orange, and pink!

Created in 2009, Ben Lipschitz and Rick Munitz under the company L&M Designs, Flipsters footwear were created with the concept of mimicking the natural motion of walking. The footwear was made with a rubber sole for durability and grip, with a soft cushioning layer for comfort. The straps are made from soft satin to avoid skin chaffing while the heel straps are elasticized to allow for stretches, coupled with silicon lining to ensure a snug fit.

I think marami na tayong nakitang foldable flats, but this one is something different bilang sandals type sha. Super basic ang look so ok with any outfitey mo, plus comfy sha for a foldable footwear na madalas nakaka-paltos ng paa. For this brand, cinonsider nila talaga yung common concerns ng gurls so with the right materials, they created an iPhone-sized footwear na durable and makes life more convenient lalo na sa ating mga fashionista commuters. ;)

Now Available: Flipsters Ballet Flats!

The ballet flats are available in shades of black, beige, navy, and nude, featuring a feet-slimming design silhouette and an elegant cap-toe detailing! COVET!

Another lovely set-up during the event - Nail It station! :D

They offered us pamper sesh para chill mode talaga and marelax ang aming feet--na veryvery Flipsters!

The different Nail It Spa Sets na pwedeng iavail that day:

Nangunguna na kami ni Pax! Hehehe!

Pax checking out her new Flipsters--na hindi lang "extra shoes", but also something you could wear on weekends pag pamper day mo and you want to get a pedi sa favorite salon mo (like Nail It, hehehe).

Thank you so much to my nail technician for the best foot spa and pedi! Perfect na perfect since fresh from Sagada pamumundok kami niyan! Hehehe..Sorry Ate!

Another pretty set-up: their program area!
Ang girly and relax with the couches and carpets and pillows:

With the pretty ladies: Maui of Primer Group, the event's host Janeena Chan, Flipsters' brand ambassador Vern Enciso, and my favorite girl Tracy Ayson! ;)

Program:

I love this styling idea for your Flipsters! Janeena Chan wearing her purple pair with a maxi dress! :)

Girls shared their high heels horror stories! Hehe!

Maui talked more about the brand:
Flipsters was specifically created as an all-occasion accessory, which means the sandals are machine washable and waterproof – making it a perfect beach or pool companion!

They introduced Flipsters' Brand Ambassadors through poetry ...and a long-stemmed flower for everyone!

Nakakatawa, natouch pa ako and kinilig with the pretty flower, and then I started twirling it tapos naputol ko din kaagad (lol). :p

The brand ambassadors! :) Cai Subijano, Patricia Hizon, Vern Enciso, and Jariss Manlapas:

Manila's It Girl, Cai Subijano. The all around woman. She likes to party, she likes to dress up, she likes to be on top of her career. An ideal Flipsters woman, she's on top of her game. Being a Philippine Star fashion contributor and a socialite, Cai is the epitome of Manila's It Girl.

Fashion Guru, Vern Enciso. As a successful fashion blogger, Vern has inspired people to create their own fashion statements. She loves wearing heels but agrees with most girls that you can only wear it for so long before your feet start complaining.

The Travel Junkee, Patricia Hizon. A self confessed travel junkee, Patricia has traveled the world alone and now with her family. Like most girls, her luggage is always overpacked with shoes and clothes she won't really need. Over the years she has learned to lighten her load and found new things perfect for travel.

The Workaholic, Jariss Manlapas. A student, a blogger and the marketing manager of nail it salon, Jariss has her hands full juggling all these things day in and day out. Moving from class to meetings, she chooses to still be fashionable in every way. Bringing a walking shoe around keeps her from

I LOVE their Flipsters and the different ways they styled their pair! Favorite ko siguro yung ballet flats na two-toned ni Ms. Jariss--Must-have!

Cute origami station! :)

Pax also won a new ballet flats Flipsters for wearing her Gold Dot extra high heels to the event! Woot! Go Pax!

Ended the night with moremore chill time and talkies, spent here in my favorite place (lol) -- by the buffet tables! ;p

Hi Pax! Hehe!

With Primer Group's Sir Jacky, na nameet namin while juggling yummy finger foods, desserts, and coffee! ;D We talked about the wonderful brands under Primer, and kung paano namin nilaspag ang SHULONG namin in our recent Sagada trip! :D He also shared some of the comfy shoes na pwede naming dalhin when we travel! Fun fun conversation. :)
