Hi guys! Currently in my booth at the Superb by Supersale Bazaar, SMX. Medyo deads na ako and can't think straight, but gusto ko na din share this event by TW Steel, ang malaking "pambawi" sa Samsonite booboo ko (if you weren't able to catch the story, visit this post) bilang very exciting that day!
Outfitey muna... Something casual for a daytime event.
Top - SM Ladies
Pants - Next Jeans
Heels - Gold Dot
Watch - TW Steel
Thank you Aisa Ipac for taking my pictures!
Been wearing these white wedges from Gold Dot for ilang days nadin a! Super comfy and stylish!
I love this top! Hindi ko lang alam ano pang ways I can wear it, but the forest print is super lovely! Brings out the hippie child in me! Sarah gave me the idea to wear it with colored pants! She styled me sa look nato, actually! Hahaha. AND via Twitter lang! ;D
On to the event...which was held in the classy Edsa Shang Hotel in Ortigas...
The launch invitation came with day and night part--we chose to attend the luncheon para mas intimate:
Hi Sarah! Hehehe... My shoe-sister!
We had supersarap hotel food, my favorite..
And checked out the different TW Steel watches on display. This brand is big in OVERSIZED men's watches--my weakness when it comes to watch, that, and basta gold!
Like for this design from TW Steel Pilot Collection: I love the black strap with rose gold--ang class!
Red accents give off nautical feel!
Royal love: blue and rose gold!
Standard black big watch--a must-have!
There's something about yung pagkaalanganin ng color gray that gives it a certain charm
For the playful:
Patricia Hizon hosted the event. The Dutch watch brand first became available locally in a year, and now a growing number of discriminating Filipinos have already shown a genuine affinity for this wrist bling--a coveted yet attainable luxury for mobile young professionals. Even my sister (ate) owns a TW Steel dahil recommended ng officemates niya! She owns one with brown strap!
At bilang TW Steel's new collection is on "Pilot Your Life"-- Patricia Hizon randomly asked people on their biggest dreams. Dahil nakatago si Pax, sha tuloy ang natanong! ;D
Pax: "To be a hollywood stylist"
Patricia: "Can you name at least two of your dream celeb"
Pax: "Gwyneth... And Drew Barrymore."
Then we watched this sobrang inspiring vid on the four "Icons of Inspiration". As in kahit ang aga ng event, nagising ako dahil dito! Haha! I love listening to the things these popular and successful (and not to mention, verygood ang image!) people went through before. Mapapa-clap ka talaga!
Marvin Agustin, Chieffy Caligdong, Venus Raj, and Rio Dela Cruz are the recipients of the "Pilot Your Life" award as all of them epitomize the spirit of the Pilot Collection. These famous and accomplished personalities may not have been blessed initially with wealth, but determination, self-belief, and dreaming piloted their careers to heights they never dreamed of!
TW Steel's CEO Jordy Cobelens also shared his own story before TW Steel.
Best part of the day----I won a TW Steel watch via raffle!!! And this time, guys, di na ako MIA! :D
When they handed my watch to me onstage, sabi sakin ni Venus:
"Guurl, sinadya ko talaga bunutin pangalan mo!" Hahaha love her na! ;p
Ang naiisip ko lang na ishare now related to being a pilot of my own life is that before nagka Anagon Collection, I tried selling slippers na tyinaga kong tahian ng beads, and sandos I tirelessly tie-dyed. That time as in wala pang online shops concept, so I bring this huge bag along with my school bag para to earn kahit a bit more from my baon, to sustain din sa college expenses and even luhos. Then somebody gave me the idea of making accessories instead, para naman hindi masyado mabigat dalhin and ilako. Infer kahit teachers ko suki ko noon ha! Haha! And the rest is history! Also, I never asked money na pagkagraduate ko, in a way, semi independent narin ang drama. I don't know how I was able to surpass the hardships and even the shame (lalo na ineexpect akong maging writer ng ibang tao) of going for the road-less-traveled (ngayon palang naman nauso and nagka-prestige ang "young entrepreneur" and "online shops")--but I guess it always starts with dreaming and believing in yourself. Hindi man ako writer now, storyteller niyo naman ako, diba! Hehe!
Gustong gusto ko noon yung imbentong idea ko na "Story to tell" mindset. As in pag you go through something difficult, ang iisipin mo dapat "Ay someday story to tell nadin to!". Kaya kahit mahirap, sure ka naman sa end goal mo, and someday, people will know your story and makakainspire ka pa. With this mindset, always ever upward lang ang kwento natin.
