The New Shangri-La Plaza Mall East Wing

Most events for the past weeks were held either sa new SM Aura Premiere, or in a cafe / new store / restaurant in Shangri-La Plaza Mall's East Wing. 

The 22-year-old mall officially launched their exciting new hub for all mallers last September 21. Present to welcome the guests and offer a preview of the East Wing’s offerings was the Shang’s Executive Vice President and General Manager Lala Fojas.

“The Shangri-La brand is something most people are familiar with, no matter what age. It speaks of good taste and luxury, which means the Shang experience is as good as you can get,” she said. 

Went to the East Wing launch with Ava, we were welcomed to the cocktails venue with a red carpet!!! ;p

“With the East Wing, we have basically pushed the envelope to make the Shangri-La Plaza lifestyle experience a total pleasurable experience that appeals to your senses, to your heart, as well as to your soul,” added Fojas.

A line of chefs and food servers also welcomed the guests, each of them representing some of the restaurants and cafes that opened in the East Wing:

Entertained by a musical backdrop care of a jazz quintet:

We were all treated to a delectable gustatory experience: a sumptuous sampling of the new wing’s latest dining concepts via an indulgent BUFFET spread of their culinary specialties!

Participating Restaurants: Akira, Arya Persian Restaurant, BreadTalk, Balboa, Corazon by Chef Florabel Co, Ganso-Shabuway, Gelatissimo, Green Pastures, Jamba Juice, Krispy Kreme, Lombardi’s Pizza & Pasta, Maple, Spätzle Euro Market Café, The Strip Hollywood Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse Grill, TWG Tea, UCC Park Café, Wee Nam Kee, Zao, Zarzuela and 26th St. Bistro by CBTL.

Aside from the real-meal, my favorite area in the buffet is the snacks and desserts section!

Another highlight of the night was the grand raffle of the “Drive In Style” promo where a lucky winner won a brand new 2013 Mercedes-Benz New Generation C250 CGI Avantgarde! Suuuweeeet!
Finally, concluding the program was a toast celebrating the new Shangri-La Plaza East Wing. *Cheers!*

Going out of the venue (although I wanted to eat pa, but suuuper full na! :p)
