Kilig #1: Grand Expression of Love

Bilang very much old-fashioned parin ako when it comes to the love department, for me, nothing beats bonggang expression of love through a song. Pwede ding with dance. As in MOB levels, tatanggapin ko yun! Lol. Pero seriously, kilig na ako sa simple song written for me (Harana! Think Wedding Singer's Grow Old / airplane scene!). San ba ako makakapulot ng makakatalo sa mga modern prince charmings of Youtube:

Kilig #2: Terms of Endearment

Whether Gia, pa yan, Ansky, Gon-Gon, Gubz, GF, big sis, BFF, or Ate A (yup lahat niyan existing nicknames ko haha) --feeling ko lang may dagdag extra 10 points sa closeness level namin pag may ibang tawagan nang alam mong para sayo lamang. (nuks)
(Take note: Basta ba close kami ha! Hahaha!)

Kilig #3: Love Letters

As in handwritten! Laida Magtalas in the flesh na ata ako (character ni Sarah Geronimo sa Very Special Love, hahaha), dahil I love sticking post-it notes whenever I leave a friend's place, or include them in gifts, etcetera. Heartfelt letters are my weakness! Or, okay, sige na nga pwede na ding idaan sa email, DM sa FB, blog post, or public Tweet, hehehe.

And with that, let me introduce to you the project I mentioned from my last post.
Ladies and gents, I am super proud to present to you LOVE NOTES, an Anagon Valentine's Day collaboration with Indonesian accessories brand The Little Things She Needs!

The moment TLTSN emailed me about Love Notes, sobrang KINILIG ako.
To the bones? To the effing bones! Lol.

Maliban sa best in concept sya for love month, isa pa yung ako na ata ang one of the cheesiest girls of the WWW.
I always wear my heart on my sleeve! Cheesy ba kamo? The Little Things She Needs.... I'm your girl!

Hi guys!!!

Share lang, I think I just ate meat awhile ago. -___- It bothered me for hours, but now ni-let go ko
nalang yung thought, hay! Wala lang! :p Okay, anyway, I super dupeeer miss our kwentuhans na, with the
Christmas fast approaching, parang lahat nanyayari na now: Ang events halos daily na, ang orders non-stop
(though I am not complaining!), and my 2 big bazaars palapit ng palapit na (SuperSale and BU!).

Sabi nga namin nung high school sa physics class (lol, sorry geeks kami hehe) "There is no such thing
as rest!". Anyway...Here's my Sunday outfitey (yup kahit Sunday we go out na...
dati eto na nga lang ang rest day / family day!). And kahit palapit na ng palapit ang Pasko, Lord, bakit
ang ineeeeet ineeeet padin! Hahaha. Decided to go for a casual "Sunday malling" look with denim-on-
denim + sneakers (and iced coffee, lol). Shorts-mode dahil mahiheat stroke ata ako sa inet!

I've always wanted a pair of white sneakers, but yung nabili ko before veryvery uncomfy. Buti nalang I

learned about SHULONG = The stylish vibes of a Converse sneakers, but with the comfort of a pair of TOMS!

We had a little exhibit for SHULONG in Trinoma, near the cinema area. Designed a pair of the DIY-able

Shulong sneakers, along with other bloggers like Seph and Shai, Katrina, Pax, and Sarah! I was super

excited on my way to Trino last Sunday dahil feel ko first time ko ata tong magka exhibit--and with my

dearest friends pa! Feel na feel kong "artist" ako when Sarah and I saw our artworks! Here's my design

muna, will post more on the event (and the other participants' shoes) on next entry!

They didn't asked us to name our artworks, but if I were to give my "masterpiece" a title, siguro
"Out of this World", hahaha. Or Weird and Wired, pwede din! ;p

"Anagon" sa likod ng both shoes---because I love my brand like dut. Lol.

Black Shulong canvass, mixed media. Used oil pastels (aka craypas) to color the shoes ng galaxy print,
and the glitter pen that came with the pair I used din para "stars" effect. Lastly, I tried to incorporate
the wire art I use for my accessories to the shoes since yun naman talaga ang pangkabuhayan ko (hehe).

I know the design is very unconventional! I was sobrang nervous before the exhibit, and kept tweeting
Sarah na baka hindi okay yung gawa ko.

And then awhile ago, a Pinoy blogger residing in Japan for years now DM-ed me on Twitter if I sell daw
these shoes because he is interested and "very Tokyo" daw! :) And although hindi ko sha naiisip as
something profitable, super naflatter ako na may taong interesado to wear my weird shoe design!!!!

A heartfelt thank you to PRIMER GROUP OF COMPANIES, SHULONG, Ean Sanchez,
Maureen Rabuco, and to all my friends and who came to visit our venture as "uma-artist", haha! :)

I went to the residential part of Serendra (ang entrance ba naman near the fancy restos!) to teach the basics of accessory-making to an interested housewife:

I've learned that my student, Tita Rina, lives in US and is just here for the holidays. They have this unit just for vacations and if a family from abroad needs a place to stay here in the Philippines! A relative referred her to me, a senior citizen daw na interested daw sa mga crafts and new hobbies. I was actually excited to go about this kasi madalas kong students ay the young ones (DLSU kids! Invite me uli sa LEAP niyo a!), and usually classroom set-up so madami sila (aka sore throat at the end of the day, hehe). Ang maganda sa ganito is tutok sa student, and very laidback lang ng setting so marami-rami rin kaming nagawa:

First project: Simple drop earrings:

This pair is a creation of my student! Bihira ko ituro ito dahil easy lang, but syempre dapat ibagay ang "lesson plan" sa student! :) Love ni Tita Rina ang classy pearl earrings nya, especially the nice hooks. :)

Basic string bracelets with toggles. The point of this is to teach Tita Rina how to place the locks (ng matibay and neat) sa end ng nylon strings, na maaapply narin sa pag gawa ng necklaces:

And for our final project, of course hindi pwedeng di matuto ng wire accessories ang student ko! :)

I thought her how to make her own ring cap, and how to design a wired flower--which she can also apply in making brooches, necklaces, headbands, etc! :)

After our lessons, she served me with merienda (bait) and toured me around Serendra. Malaki pala dun!

I really enjoyed that afternoon! Sana I can make this "home service" (nyahaha) a regular thing, kasi enjoy siya talaga for me. Grade 1 dream ko talaga maging teacher, and although isang malaking fail ako last year with attempting to tutor kids ng math and English, I guess asa maling playing field lang ako non (hahaha, MATH ba naman!!!). There's more to learn in teaching accessory-making, pero at least for now I've found my niche! You think I can turn this into a part-time job? Haha!
