Katy Perry Concert Mall of Asia 2012!

I think second time (?) ni Katy Perry to have a concert here in Manila, first one was back in 2009 (?) when our country experienced the disaster that is Ondoy. I remembered the Pop Star cancelling her concert to a latter date, and spent some time helping out the Ondoy Victims. Ever since non, ay fan na fan na ako ni Katy Perry!

Anyway, hindi ako nakanuod that time, I think panay byahe ko non that I didn't have the budget for concerts. But this year, I will make the impossible possible! TRAVEL AND CONCERTS Year itey! :D When they announced that Katy Perry will come back in the PH, and may nagyaya na high school kabarkada ko (Alli!), I said GOW GOW GOW right away! :)

When I reached Seattle's Best in MOA, nagulat kami ni Alli na magka-peg lang kami ng outfitey! Hahaha!

When we reached the concert grounds, nakita namin ang other side of Katy Perry, hahaha! Kung kami ang nautical beach-bound pa-cute Katy, sila yun mga sexy party party Katy, hehe!

When we got there, infer ang dami ng tao! Masyado kaming nag feeling na early ang 5, hahaha:



Lovet! Kuya Bugs Bunny selling glow sticks, binoculars of different qualities, and bunny ears na umiilaw!
Sana pala nakapaglako din ng Anagon Collection, chos!

Dahil nakakainip, ginawa naming photo op time ang waiting time (di pa nagpapapasok). Syempre minaximize ko na ang last months ng Picnik.com (huhuhu). Stickers and effects galore!

Matapos mabuo ang zig zag octopus na mga linya, finally, gates were opened at around past 6! Grabe STAMPEDE ang ganap! Natakot ako at naaalala ko parin kasi yun nanyaring Wowowee incident noon :P

We got ok na seats when we got in. Problem yung kaharap naming malaking poles for the sound system, pero keri narin.






An hour na lumipas, no signs of Katy Perry. Alli and I decided to play with her iTouch's new App: Multi-Lenses! Haha! Vain mode grabe, pero at least nakaka entertain!



Decided to check out the lines of McDo and other kainan inside the venue. I know mahal ang benta pag inside na, but no choice! But ang nagstop sakin ay pati sa food may pila, so no thanks! :P

Saw my dear college friend Zam on my way back to our seats! Namiss ko to!!!

Back with Alli, biglang nagka fireworks!!! :D AKK!

Nag iimagine ako na biglang aangat na si Katy Perry sa stage sabay kanta ng Do you ever feel like a plastic bag...
But no, medyo malayo yung fireworks sa concert venue...for Chinese New Year ata to! Hahaha! False Alarm!

Front Act: DJ Skeet Skeet!

Around mga 30 minutes na DJ set ang tinugtog, like Rihanna's We Found Love, LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem, and Far East Movement's Like A G6! Parang Bora Soundtrack namin to a! Hahaha!


Panalo! Hyped na ang tao at nagtayuan na sa monoblock chairs!
Mahirap tumalon talon at pumarty party at baka tumaob ang silya... but no! Todo fist pump pa ako non! Woot!

Basag trip lang na after the front act, ineexpect mo na na dapat susunod na ang concert. But around 20 minutes later, gumive up na tuhod ko, so umupo na uli kami. Marami namang entertainment around so lumipas ang oras:

Eto yun harang na sinasabi ko! Sila manong na siguro ang may best (and literal na priceless!) seats sa concert, hehe:

Tuloy Pa Ba?

Ang haba na ng gap since the supposed 8pm call time. Nung 9:30 na, hinuhulaan ko nang 10 magsstart. 

I swear ang dami na nagaaway sa venue. Mostly mothers na galit sa mga nakatayo (without seats) sa harapan namin, because mas late sila but asa harapan namin sila. Naisip ko though, kawawa nga sila wala silang seats pag pagod na, but ayun pinag squat sila ng mga mothers! Kawawang Bouncers, sila pa ang namura at nasigawan. Sabi ko sa mga katabi ko "Itweet nalang nila reklamo nila! Pareparehas naman tayong nagbayad!" Anyhoo, BORED nalang na siguro sila Mothers kaya nag alburuto. As in MURAHAN na ang ganap non, kahit in front of the kids! Though now that I am typing this, aba at least source of entertainment din sila! Haha!

THEN FINALLY!

Huge screens sa stage and around the venue played a parang movie lang story of a girl named Katy searching for her cat Kitty Purry and the love of her life, the Baker's Boy! Panalo ang narration and mismong mga vids!

At ang stage, nagmistulang Candy Wonderland! Hindi ako sanay after watching rocks band concerts na backdrop lang ok na sila. Eto production design talaga: Huge lollipops, cupcakes, candies, and LED screens na may border na pink lighted clouds! Super cute!

Katy Perry went out with a white sparkling dress na may umiikot na pinwheels, and BLACK hair! Far from her look nung Meet and Greet!

Iba talaga ang dating niya pag nag peperform! Mas hot! (Sabay taas ng kili kili, lol)

Hindi lang pala sa video thing umaacting si Katy Perry! Live onstage, she introduced to us slut, este Slot, prior to singing, ano pa nga ba: Waking Up in Vegas!

Then the story progressed..in every two or three songs pineplay yung mini movie:

Peacock! Wild ng dance moves!

May onting acting acting na ganap na kumain siya ng "Brownie" haha! :D Hilo si Katy Perry!

Naghanap tuloy ng partner sa crowd! "First man to take of his shirt goes up here onstage!"
Dito yung Ivan Dorschner moment na nagtrending! Hehe!

Katy Perry appeared dramatically on stage sa mataas na swing for Not Like the Movies:

Habang nasesenti ako, biglang may umangat na big white cloth to cover the candy wonderland set, and biglang nagproject ng mga cute sweet cartoon scenes. SHET! Nakakaiyak!!!

After this, diredirecho na ang favorite songs ko: Last Friday Night (TGIF), Firework (na paulit ulit na sinasabi ni Katy Perry na favorite song nya), and California Gurls!


Panalo nun last song na, California Gurls, nag hagisan ng malalaking beach ball sa crowd area!

May basaan pa sa harap na area! Ang interactive! :D Super saya!

In between the concert, Katy Perry shouted: DID I SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST?
Eto na pala ang last tour for California Dreams! I am so glad nasama ang Philippines sa 125 countries for this tour. And buti nalang I get to watch it! Kaya pala todo ang pag challenge ni Katy Perry to make this the best concert ever! Ang galing niya mang gising at mang hype ng mga na BV at antok nang crowd! The concert was a blast! BEST. NIGHT. EVER.

Thanks for an AMAZING FINAL CDT date Manila! Sorry to keep u waiting earlier... had to solve a security issue, but THE SHOW WENT SPLENDIDLY!

Ended the day with Coffee Bean not-so-dinner dinner with Alli! :) Wala nang kainang bukas masyado, if meron man oa ang pila! :P We settled for sweets, parang asa Candy Wonderland parin. :)
