Never have a bad hair day again with PINKBOX!

Thursday, October 25, 2012

Went to the Pinkbox event yesterday, and ang dress code: Pink or Violet!
Sobrang gurly lang like their brand ambassadors Vern and Verniece Enciso! :)
Here's what I wore to the event in Aria Cucina, BHS:

Combined Pink and Violet with:
Pale pink blazer - Forever 21
Violet Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Gold Word Necklace - Anagon
Black Bow Belt - Gift
Black Bag - Mango
Black Shoes - Rajo x Parisian

Did not expect that the two colors will go well together! Naisip ko, veryvery Lisa Frank din sha!
Lakas maka bagets ng combi a! :)

Pinkbox, a History

Nelly See was a housewife who just wanted lovely, age-appropriate, and affordable accessories for
her daughters. Back in 2002, that was quite a challenge! Either the accessories were branded and
too expensive, cheap but unreliable, or simply not cute enough for little girls. The solution?
Pinkbox!

Pinkbox started out with hair accessories like cutesie patootsie hair bands, elastics, pins, and clips
for kids. They were an instant hit from the small kiosk in Robinson’s Galleria,
where it all began, and now the brand has 27 company owned stores nationwide!

Inside the restaurant, Pinkbox decorated the makeshift stage area with lovely pieces like dresser with bulbs sa frame (parang hollywood!), cute standing mirror that doubles as accessories cabinet din, and a director's chair with nice floral and polka dot prints!

Every girly girls' dream: cupcakes, candies, chocolates, and gifts in pink and purple!

These are the press kits, btw. Panalo! Pink box kung pink box!

Pink balloons everywhere:

One of the cupcakes had this Barbie-ish design:

After enjoying the Aria Cucina buffet, there was a hair styling demo:

Verniece modeled for the high bun style, using the Pinkbox Donut:

The Pinkbox Hair Donut is an ingenious soft foam tool that can help you create an elaborate updo,
Korean style! It doesn't feel heavy or hot on top of your head which makes
it super comfy compared to its DIY alternatives. Simply tie your hair in a pony tail
then loop it all over the donut. Secure with bobbi pins and you’re good to go!

SRP: P 189.75 / 2 pieces in 2 sizes

The veryvery pretty Verniece with her cute hair bun:

...Accented with a pink bow of course!

Meanwhile, Martha modeled for the Pinkbox Hair Puff:

The Pinkbox Hair Puff is an ultralight velcro insert that can be placed underneath your hair to instantly
volumize it. You can create a bouffant with zero teasing - all you need are your hands, a comb, and a
couple of bobby pins!

SRP: P119.75 / small, P129.75/
medium, P149.75 / large

You can also create a beehive with the Hair Puff.
Say tata to limp, lifeless hair with the Pinkbox Hair Puff!

They then distributed baskets filled with Pinkbox goodies, including their new Donut and Hair Puff for us to try out!

It was a contest din pala (though we didn't win the cute mirror, sayang! Hehe). Sarah helped me style my hair. We thought of combining pearls and the bejeweled peacock feather headband for the 20s look!

What we came up with, nuks:

Got flat, lifeless or too frizzy hair (like me ;p)? Don’t just tie it in an ‘ole pony tail or load it with too much
styling potions - Pinkbox have something that will save your hair and your day, too!
