Caronia Jingle Contest

Pagdating sa throwback ng mga commercials na pumatok during my childhood, hindi mawawala ang Caronia ads.

Ang classic lang talaga ng Caronia jingle, lakas maka LSS ang Ka-Ro-Ni-Ya!!!

Nagkaron pa ng Vilma Santos version, very 80s! ;p

Nakakaloka lang yung hindi mo malaman if Ka-Ro-Ni-Ya ba o Ka-Row-Nya ang pag pronounce! ;p I think pag hindi pa-kanta Ka-Row-Nya dapat? Hehe.. Anyway, learned that they made a new jingle few years back, featuring Imago. It's also the same song that they played during last night's event at the RCBC Plaza Lounge.

Event's host:

Caronia's Ms. Olive Soria:

Went to RCBC with Sarah and Trace to find out more about Caronia Music Festival: The Sound of Color. This fun campaign is a search for the most talented local act who will use their own sound and artistry to create their own rendition of the new Caronia jingle. Sending of entries is from July 1 to September 30. Win P70k cash, open to music groups of 2-5 members, 18 years old and above. Kung ako sasali, may echoes of the old Caronia jingle! :D Tipong rap part yan, or pasabog na pang ending! Haha!

Other than the usual event program, we were also greeted by these 3 different but equally cool FREE nail-care set-ups--shempre with the music genre themes! There's the Pop section:

Of course Krissyng-Krissy lang! :)

Cute Pop box with Caronia nail colors and products:

Sarah, shempre, headed to the Rock booth:

Cute spikes box souvenirs for the rock stars:

I picked the beautiful Alternative tambayan. Had my nails painted black.

Caronia is a quality nail polish brand na very affordable and proudly local. They have 72 shades to date! :)

Fringe box of Caronia goodies:

I have no dinner pictures, but super sarap! Pigged out with Tracy (other left early! :p) while listening to Grace Note band's great music. I love how they perform--they played the new Caronia Jingle, and F na F ko of course pag mga senti hits! ;) Hehehehe. Kahit own songs nila bet ko a--listen to Pwede Ako, pang mga martyrs (with rebulto level!?) like uhm like me? Hahahaha!

What is talented diba! Grace Note's vocalist Eunice also played the piano, violin, and then ended their set for the night ng hindi pinalagpas ang drums! ;p

BTW, the Caronia Jingle Contest will culminate with The Sound of Color Music Festival this November at the SM North EDSA's Sky Dome. Aside from the invited bands (to be announced), the event will also serve as the grand finals night (bongga, concert kagad!). Join the contest na! ;)
