Bensimon DIY Event (or Bensimon x Anagon!)

Thursday, August 07, 2014

I love that DIY events are becoming an "in" thing right now.

Almost once a week, there are "make your own", "create your own", and DIY days... and most of these events turned out to be my favorites! Parang reminder nadin of, wait, asa "creative block" ako dapat ngayon a! Thank you to these brands who ignite (yesss!) the artist in each of us.

Like earlier today, in Commonthread Rockwell, our task was to design our Bensimon:
Parisian sneakers brand Bensimon, renowned for its iconic style and sumptuous blend of colors, comfort and adaptability, has become synonymous to the idea of being ‘perfectly imperfect’.

Each pair already bears that unique style Parisians are admired for, now we’re inviting Filipinos to step into it by using it as a way to express their personality,” says Ammiel De Leon, Bensimon Philippines’ Brand Director

Thus, the Bensimon DIY event:

Nakakatuwa cause naglalabasan ang quotable quotes from my blog friends, haha! Sabi ni Sarah, "My goal is to inspire others through my art.." Lol, san galing? ;p

Si Picasso, lolol.

Si Athan talaga ang napicture-an ko, hindi si Ava! Haha! :D

I got the (strap-free) yellow "Bennies", and since medyo na-late ako (super traffic nakakaiyak!), I used just one Sharpie.

Others utilized the provided traditional art materials such as paint, markers, pins, glue, beads and ribbons, showing Bensimon's versatility. We were also guided by the CraftMNL (yey!) team with our "masterpiece", hehe. :)

Bensimon is actually a nice canvas for DIY shoes:

Decided to recreate my pattern using aqua blue fabric pen... Since goal ko naman talaga to reproduce the pattern into cloth and other things! :) Envisioning, lol.

With Sarah's cool DIY Bensimon!

Anagon x Bensimon! :D

So what's new with Bensimon? :)

This season, expect Bensimon to continue unveiling more prints, colors and styles,” says De Leon.

Fashion enthusiasts browsing through Bensimon’s shoe racks in the coming months can choose from a revamped classic with colored soles, elastic styles, various prints and more creative fabrics. Some of my favorites include the tiedye and camou!

Bensimon is a brand that features its own quiet brand of style—much like the city where it hails from. And it will continue to build a local following that shares its vision of timeless footwear options that can stand the test of evolving trends,” De Leon ends.

Bensimon sneakers are available at CommonThread (Greenbelt 5, Power Plant Mall), Rustans (Gateway, Makati, Alabang Town Center, Shangrila), Center of Gravity (Burgos Circle and Centris Walk), Shoe Salon (Glorietta 3, Power Plant Mall Rockwell, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, and Trinoma), and Shoe Thing (Kids styles only: Bonifacio High Street, Eastwood Mall, and Greenbelt 5).
