Snow Skin Whitening Soaps

Wednesday, July 08, 2015

The hot, whole-day walks in Singapore and Malaysia made me darker. Hindi ko naman sana mapapansin, but it left an unpleasant tan line on my wrist area, where I wore my watch! When I got back in Manila, I received a box of Snow Skin Whitening Soaps from Vida Nutriscience Inc., the makers of Snowcaps L-Glutathione Whitening Supplement. Perfect timing to road test a new product's effectivity!

I've tried different whitening soaps before, and most of them contain papaya, kojic acid, or glutathione. My purpose wasn't really to get whiter, but to even out my patchwork, commuter's skin tone. I believe that products work differently on different types of skin and lifestyle so it's best to learn about the product before using it. Anyway, here's the lowdown of Snow Skin Whitening Soaps.

Price
Php 145 for 135g

List of Ingredients
What sets a Snow Skin Whitening Soap apart from the many whitening soaps in the market is that it contains 7 plant extracts from the Swiss Alps, including Veronica Officinalis Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Primula Veric Extract, and Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract.

Packaging
The packaging is a minimalist, white flip top box containing a flyer with complete product information, plus the soap, sealed separately in transparent plastic. The Snow White character logo is also super cute!

Directions for use
Use daily as a regular soap for face and body. Leave it for 2-3 minutes before rinsing. For external use only. Do not use for children under 3 years of age.

Product Claims
Treat your skin with the necessary energy and nutrients to ensure a radiant clear complexion and younger looking skin.

Enriched with natural skin lightening complex.

GIGAWHITE - An optimal skin penetrating formulation which contains seven plants extract from the swiss Alps that promotes skin lightening with anti-age spot activity, not only reduces the color but also the size of age spots.

ACE-B3 (Anti-oxidant complex) - a potent combination of Aloe Vera Extract (skin moisturizing and protection), Vitamin C (helps protect against photodamage), Vitamin E (free radical defense), and Niacinamide B3 (skin clarifying and lightening).

The Snow Skin Whitening Soap is a clear yellow soap that produces a nice lather to the skin.

My experience with Snow Skin Whitening Soap

My favorite, I guess, is feeling my skin exfoliate fast after every bath time! Skin also felt clean and smooth, unlike the drying and scaly effects of other whitening soaps. I still use lotion afterwards, though. Although an all-around soap, I only use it for my body because I have sensitive facial skin. Others who've used the soap for their face said that it helps lighten acne marks and age-spots. I also like its gentle powdery scent.

Now here's a before and after photo of my "watch tan line" after one week usage of Snow Skin Whitening Soap:

BEFORE

AFTER

I am not sure if it's the lighting, but I made sure to use same camera setting for both photos. These shows how the line - although still there - visibly lightened. I only used the  Snow Skin Whitening Soap for the whole week (and mixed it with salt scrub twice), and already enjoying its results!

Meanwhile, if you want extra boost of skin whitening, a safe and FDA approved glutathione is Snowcaps L-Glutathione Whitening Supplement. Each box costs Php 1495, and contains 3 packs with 10 capsules. The best part is that whitening is just one of Snow Caps' positive side effects, glutathione are actually antioxidants! They boost the immune system and make sure your liver is healthy and functioning well.

I will try my box of Snow Caps asap! I've read a lot of good reviews about this brand.

Snow Skin Whitening Soap and Snowcaps L-Glutathione Whitening Supplement are available in Mercury Drugstores, Watsons, SouthStar Drugstore, Landmark Supermarket and LCC Malls. For more information, visit http://www.vidanutriscience.com and like them on FACEBOOK.
