Life in LIFE Yoga BGC

Friday, September 11, 2015

If I have a choice, I will go for yoga as my main fitness activity forever. But due to time constraints, irregular schedule, and my current galaxy far far away address, I'll be happy to attend at least one class a week. :p

Anyway, for those who live or work at the Fort, here's a new yoga school that's worth visiting.

LIFE Yoga, located in Eight Forbestown BGC, is a yoga school that adds their own funk to the usual flair. Not just a studio for students to practice their yin or bikram, it also has a nice concept cafe, and their yoga classes mostly have music which makes every session unique.

The moment you step in the school, you'll feel the hip and happy vibe of LIFE Yoga.

The splashes of colors also translate to their friendly receptionist, who will take you to a tour of the school. Do give them a visit if you're interested!

Here are the rates in LIFE Yoga:

First stop: the women's locker room. The feel is very artsy, young, and vibrant, just like my favorite Singapore hostels!

Positive quotes and words of encouragement plastered everywhere:

What I like about LIFE Yoga #1: Lockers have their own lock and key already so you don't have to bring one. Usually naiiwan ko pa ang lock sa bahay.

They also provide hair dryer, several shower cubicles with hot and cold water, and shampoo and body wash. In short, you don't have to bring anything when you go to class after work or school!

Oh the convenience:

While waiting for my class to start, I hydrated at LIFE Yoga's Vibe Cafe. Aside from refreshments and healthy foods, they also sell several yoga necessities like mats and towels in this area. It's actually a nice tambayan (What I like about LIFE Yoga #2).

Every corner and turns, LIFE Yoga is very aesthetically inspiring!

I think they have two studios in Life Yoga? I wasn't able to check out their second floor, but here's where I practiced 2 Hot Beat classes. I like all the wall art and the fact that even the yoga mats, blocks, and straps are provided for each students (What I like #3).

So here's the lowdown on the classes they offer. It's nice to know that they have several forms and levels of yoga practices in LIFE Yoga. With the variety, you'll never get tired of coming back to class!

I was able to try Hot Beat in their heated room. I love that with different schedules, even poses and methods for Hot Beat changes every class. I love the excitement, I enjoy not knowing what's going to happen next!

Thank you to my first LIFE Yoga class teacher, and my sister's high school friend Tanya! I had a great time trying bikram yoga with music.

Another best part when you practice in LIFE Yoga? This beautiful backdrop.

Here's the schedule for the month, visit www.lifeyogacenter.com because they often give free trials!

LIFE Yoga is not only for people who've been practicing yoga for a long time. It is open to everyone, if you're willing to learn and give your time and dedication. What I like about yoga is that it gives me a sense of balance. It can be hard, but still, it relaxes me. With yoga, for an hour or so I only have to think about the pose I am in or the next pose. Finally, I'm doing something for myself.

Special thanks to Laira and Noelle for this experience!
