It's a Kdrama fan girl's dream weekend! Two Korean oppas just arrived in Manila a few days ago for their separate fan meetings. Reminiscing the times when I can only go to filming locations to relive some of my favorite shows, ngayon we can actually see these actors in the flesh!
When I saw the simultaneous online updates on the arrival of Park Seo Joon and Jung Hae In at our airport, medyo nagwala ako hahaha! Screaming deep inside!
JUNG HAE IN
Jung Hae In just concluded his fan meet last night, and sadly I wasn't able to go na because I've been to his SarangHAE-IN Manila tour just last year.
I've know Jung Hae In through While You Were Sleeping, and isa talaga yung role niya dun sa pinaka na-second lead syndrome ako!
One WYWS shooting location in Seoul is in Yeouido Hangang Park, where Woo-Tak (Jung Hae In) and his fellow policeman arrested a phone dealer. You can go here via Yeouinaru Station, Exit 3, and following this geo-location via your Google Maps: 37.523805, 126.939802.
I passed by the bridge while looking for the entrance to my cruise in the Han River, you'll know you're on the right place with its distinct colorful tiles design.
Speaking of WYWS, you'll know na sobrang favorite ko ang isang Kdrama pag sinasabuhay ko na (lol). Aside from going to its shooting locations, I also buy merch spotted in the drama -- from plushies to outfits! I bought my cap via Aegyo Korean Merchandise.
Jung Hae In starred in Something In The Rain, and although it's not on my top of the top Kdrama list--its OST is one of the best for me! I was able to go to the shooting location that you'll find in their poster, which is in Sejong Village Food Street. You can reach the area via Gyeongbokgung Station, Exit 1/2. Follow Google Maps to walk to the food street.
PARK SEO JOON
My visit to Busan wasn't supposed to be a Kdrama centred trip, but on my last day and feeling unaccomplished, I decided to navigate to a Fight For My Way location: Ae Ra and Dong Man's houses! It was a long hike to reach this place, and it was cold coz it's winter, but worth it ang efforts! Lastly, and one of the riskier sites I went to for my Kdrama Pilgrimage, is the abandoned house featured in What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. True to the mood of the scenes shot here, sobrang scary and sad niya in real life.
Since abandoned area sya, pls take extra measures! Don't go there at night. Better if you have a friend with you when you visit. And prepare for a bit of a walk from the train station. To go, just get off Uijeongbu station, Exit 7. Then follow this on your Google Maps: 37.732257, 127.053169.
