It would have been nice if we visited Cafe Magnate during Jimin Day (initial plan), but thanks to the internet we found out early October 13 that it was already impossible to enter the cafe unless we lined up before they opened the gates.
Since it was also the BTS Busan concert week, tourists flocked the coffee shop--some even with luggages in tow. Food were already flying out of their menu midday. Jimin's dad also gave away cute baby Jimin freebies like straws, tumblers, and tumblers.. which I wished I was able to snag. But honestly, our quiet time in the cafe a week late from Jimin Day was also nice.

I was here! What a dream come true! |
One of our pleasant stops during our BTS pilgrimage in Seoul is the boys' former dormitory. From a place where they once lived, the building was recently converted into a cafe in March 2022. I'm glad we found out about it when we visited Korea trip in Autumn of same year. It's another BTS location in Seoul that ARMYs can add to their itinerary.

Have a Bangtan-filled weekend at the Pearl ARMY Muster: Holiday Ever After!

Event is FREE and OPEN TO ALL. More info below...
I recently purchased a BTS / BT21 / TINYTAN mystery box from a Korean shop via Shopee. They call their clearance sale gimmick "FILL A BOX"--and it's one of the few things that excite me at the moment lol.
- An exclusive getaway to rest and recharge in the countryside at the place where BTS stayed during the filming of HYBE’s original content.

21st century pop icons BTS and YouTube officially announce the Permission to Dance Challenge starting this Friday, July 23 through Saturday, August 14, exclusively on YouTube Shorts.
BTS is inviting the world to dance along with them to their new track, “Permission to Dance,” for the first-ever worldwide dance challenge on YouTube Shorts, following its global expansion. Starting this Friday, anyone from across the globe can create a 15-second YouTube Short right from the YouTube mobile app, replicating the core dance moves from the “Permission to Dance” music video. The dance moves for this challenge are the “International Sign” gestures that the septet was seen doing in the music video, bearing the meaning “Peace,” “Dance” and “Joy”. As the “Permission to Dance'' lyrics encourage listeners to move to the rhythm of their heartbeat, BTS is bringing the world together again with this special dance and inviting people to add their own style to their YouTube Shorts creations.
As part of the challenge, BTS will be spotlighting some of their favorite Shorts in a compilation video, so participants are encouraged to use hashtags #PermissiontoDance and #Shorts for their creations to be considered.* For further dance challenge inspiration, get a closer look at the “Permission to Dance” choreography by watching BTS’ latest YouTube Shorts on desktop HERE and on the mobile app HERE.
“Permission to Dance” is a song that will get everyone’s heart pumping and dancing again. We also prepared the ‘Permission to Dance Challenge’ with YouTube Shorts so please stay tuned for more,” teased BTS upon the announcement of this new engagement.
Shin Young Jae, the President of BIGHIT MUSIC added, “Just as ‘Permission to Dance’ sends the message that you don't have to ask anyone for permission to dance, we hope that we can bring people all over the world together to dance along with us, free of any limits or constraint. We are very excited to watch this challenge come to life on YouTube Shorts and can’t wait to see what you all create.”
“BTS are global icons,” says Lyor Cohen, YouTube’s Global Head of Music. “Breaking record after record on YouTube, BTS’ immense contribution to the world of music has made them an undeniable force. We are humbled to be partnering with them on the Permission to Dance challenge on YouTube Shorts, helping to spread happiness and build lasting connections amongst their fans on YouTube across the globe. We are stoked to see the ARMY dance!”

After seeing BTS visit the BTS Pop-Up Store Seoul on their Bangtan Bomb, and my cousin suddenly sending me pictures of the installation in Singapore a few months ago, FINALLY! I had the chance to visit the BTS POP-UP: MAP OF THE SOUL Showcase on their first week here in Manila.
Some stuff I learned from reading up online is that you will need to pre-book a slot to be able to enter the store smoothly. An extra step, but anything to avoid a crazy crowd since we're still in the middle of a pandemic. There's a walk-in option, but since I live far from SM Mega Mall, I made sure to secure a slot first before going on a trip up north.
Follow morningKall on Facebook to get updates about the BTS POP-UP. They post about the openings, policies, and new merch for BTS Pop-Up Singapore, Thailand, and Philippines etc.
HOW TO BOOK FOR A SLOT?
Slots are FREE but not quite easy to acquire. Here are some of the steps I went through to book a slot. By being on time, and with sheer luck, fast internet, and quick clicking skills, I was able to book for a June 1 schedule.
1. Go to morningKall's website, and make sure to sign up for an account before the scheduled release of new slots. This will lessen the steps during your actual booking.
Registration Dates and Showcase Dates for BTS Pop-Up Manila:
2. For the Megamall pop-up here in Manila, slots will be available every Wednesdays 10am. Upcoming scheds are June 9 and June 16, again here's morningKall's website.
3. Make sure you're also on the website at least 5 minutes before 10am. By 9:59am, I was already refreshing and refreshing the page! Naalala ko I was even counting to 60 before refreshing, and ayun na nga the date options suddenly appeared at 10 am!
Also, click the RESERVATIONS tab of the website as this is where you will see the date and time options and not on the home page. Click on your preferred date (format is day, month, year). And as if you're just online shopping, simply add preferred date to cart.
Naalala ko nag hang din the site while I was trying to book, so I opened a new tab for morningKall page, and biglang booked nako!
4. Take note, morningKall has a ONE ACCOUNT, ONE SLOT policy. So make sure to inform your ARMY friends prior the booking day so you can individually book for your slots. Agree on a day and time that you all want to visit.
