Acacia Hotel: No place like home....Away from Home!

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

The newest five star deluxe Acacia Hotel Manila (pronounced as ah-kah-sya) which is located in the heart of Filinvest Alabang, has opened its doors to the Filipinos to experience the true Filipino Hospitality. With an experienced all Filipino team that comes from different international chain of hotels, Acacia Hotel Manila has entered the hotel scene and prove to the world that Filipinos truly surpass International Hotels.

First of all, how I got there:
Met my friend in Makati for lunch, before we rode a bus in the Ayala terminal (below the MRT) going to Alabang. We dropped off the first stop, or South Station, and can't find  a cab (ganyan talaga sa Alabang, haha). We walked to Festival Mall to take the "taxi" there, which costed us P150 for a short ride.

The Acacia hotel is located south of manila which is home to some of the metro’s leading business and commercial establishments (Madrigal Business Park, Northgate Business District, Insular Life Towers and Asian Hospital and Medical Center). Shopping Centers such as Alabang Town Center and the Festival Supermall are also easily within reach. It's a pretty long walk, but Acacia Hotel provides FREE shuttle services if you want to go anywhere in Alabang area:

Check-in was a breeze (they even have free goodies like apples and candies for their guests ;))

THE LOBBY AT ACACIA
High ceiling and impressive full glass walls make the Acacia Hotel Lobby modern, big, and really fancy! You can also order food here, ang sarap siguro dito mag coffee break:

At night, the Acacia Hotel Lobby has a whole new different appeal, lighting is just beautiful:

The ceiling was designed to appear like the Banaue Rice Terraces!

Imprint of a cambium all over--Acacia Hotel's logo--which is the inner part / imprint of a tree trunk!

Huge paintings by a Filipino Artist decorates Acacia Hotel's lobby, paintings that when put together (like puzzle) form a dragon:

Also part of the lobby, by the back of the reception area, is my favorite spot:

Fell in love with the high paisley-printed canvass chairs, and the swirl print carpet!

I noticed the many sockets available in this area, perfect for laptop users as this hall can also accommodate small meetings: (thus the high chairs, for privacy)

But my friend and I just chilled in this area, and had cups and cups of coffee, and slices of cakes (Other food and wine are also available here!)

Hallway that leads to their restrooms

With glamorous lounges

Neat and spacious CRs

AL FRESCO DINING:
Another favorite spot in Acacia Hotel:

Very presko and a relaxing site! Although by the road, the plant decor served as walls from the "outside world".

Breathtaking visual treats--south's blue skies and Acacia Hotel's beautiful interiors

Also a good spot for night time chikahan!

The Acacia Hotel Manila offers a wide array of services and amenities that will suit corporate events and social celebrations. The well equipped facilities will be the perfect venue for your small meetings to national conferences, black tie galas to classroom style setting. Too bad for me the Function Rooms were fully booked that time I didn't get to take good pictures! But that's a good sign that this new hotel is thriving!

ACACI
At the second floor is the pride of Acacia Hotel: It's signature coffee shop that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. A well-planned selection of international and Asian dishes highlight the spread daily, will blog more of our Acaci Food Trip soon!

These mis-matched chairs compliment the whole modern look of the restaurant, I love that they also go well with the carpet! What a fashown place!

SAMANEA
Another beautiful venue for wedding receptions, birthday parties, and other events, the Samanea makes me want to have a debut again (lol). There's a stage, and an elevated area where couples had an intimate dinner already! May naengage na kayo dun? Hehe!

SWIMMING POOL
Acacia Hotel has a pretty decent pool para mas enjoy ang bakasyon. That time though, umaaraw umuulan kaya we opted to just take a walk around the area. (aka tamad lang kami mag bihis, haha)

The restroom by the pool area is also clean and big: Me and my good job sign! Lol.

Too bad the Jacuzzi was out of order that time, it's fine though. As said earlier, tamad kami mag bihis, haha! Tambay tambay masaya na kami! ;)

Inabutan kami ng sunset while in the pool area--a serene sight with an over-view of Alabang.
Right place at the right time? :)

A BIG thank you to Acacia Hotel Manila's friendly and accommodating people!

....Can't wait to go back! :)

Leaving you with my first attempt in making a video! Sorry for the shaky hands, what is pasmado. Haha!

    1. Parents fetched me pauwi, haha! But to commute from Acacia, just walk to Festival area and take jeep going to Metropolis (bus terminal). :) They might have shuttle to Festival, so ask the concierge to make things more convenient! :)
