My Memorable Summer with Havaianas

Thursday, May 03, 2012

I brought just this pair with me in one of my most memorable summer: a trip to Dos Palmas Palawan last year. I would have wanted to bring LOTS of tsinelas (para bagay sa lahat ng suot, harharhar)...But sobra sobra naman yun--pwede na isang pares.

According to a Nina Garcia book given to me by my sisters (The One Hundred): "In Brazil, Havaianas are a national treasure. They are so essential, that they are sold in the supermarket right along with rice and beans." Cool lang!

Anyway, here are the FIVE things I love about this summer getaway: (I would have made it 50, but ang haba namang post nun, hehe)

1) Awesome view kahit saan ka pa tumingin

2) My first time to swim with the fishes!

3) Lounged in an isolated island and apply the Art of Doing Nothing...
That's my friend, also with her plain slim "Havs"

And lounged some more...

4) Amenities like billiards table and videoke we can use (and abuse) all throughout our stay!

5) The food trip! Chill chill lang, the perfect vacation for me! :) I wouldn't want a "vacation from my vacation!" Lol.

If not my white and gold pair, I also prefer bringing my spunky gray-yellow Havaianas on beach trips. I customized this slippers during the 2009 Make Your Own Havaianas! Love the jeep and tric pins, lakas maka Fashionista Commuter! :D

My fellow Havaianaticos will agree with me when I say It's that time of the year again! :) I always look forward to the Make Your Own Havaianas season, parang tradition na siya every summer! :)

This year the Make Your Own Havaianas 2012 is happening on May 10 - 14, still at the Rockwell Tent! Have a blast as Havaianas celebrate 50 years of carefree personalized fashion! :)

Want to be part of MYOH 2012?

"Sure they are cute, but the great appeal of the Havaianas is how butter-soft they are."
