My Favorite Days
Hindi na ako makapagpanggap (lol), sasabihin ko na talagang super pagod nako! :p
More than a week of no yoga, and I am feeling sluggish already. But I have no choice! I have meetings to attend to for BU, event opportunities, online responsibilities to fulfill, family life (hehe!), and wire orders to finish (my priority)....bago ko pa pansinin ang looks ko (HAHAHA!).
Floral Top - SM Ladies Fashion
Black and White Skirt - Forever 21
Navy Blue Flats - Payless
Navy Blue Satchel - SM Parisian
White Watch - Esprit Time
Outfit photos taken by Mikyle Quizon, thank you!
But days like these make me feel whole, in a way. I realized the things that I lacked 2 or so years ago that I have now: responsibilities, priorities, work that will tire myself physically (no rest for the wicked!) but fill in those gaps inside of me, and end up with me being proud of myself. In short, "work", or the thing(s) you do for a living, are not just financially fulfilling, but for me they also played a big part in my whole self esteem / self-love issues.
My favorite day is when I have to go to BU meetings (whether client or team planning).... these meetings aren't just about accomplishing more tasks and clarifying responsibilities, but also include time with my BU partner and dear friend Pax.
Jen, Kai, Czar, and Christine!
Another favorite day last week was when I got an invitation to a hotel accommodation with Arnie! I sacrificed a lot of tasks for it--even brought my laptop for a quiz for my online class that same night--and then later on cinancelan ako ng organizer 5 minutes before the meet up sched. I really want to understand their excuse, but that time hindi ko talaga kinaya. Anyway, I know hindi sha pang "favorite day", but the catch is yung we were able to shove the bad vibes kaagad, and decided to STILL MAKE IT A GOOD WEEKEND with the right attitude! :)
Impulsive! We booked in another hotel, para matuloy ang weekend staycation, haha! Watch my room tour! :) More kwentos on separate post na! ;)
Lastly, one of my favorite days last week is our annual labor day family activity. Every May 1, we all go to daddy's hometown in Batangas (Tanauan) to spend an hour or so in a small chapel with children and lolas and the other Gonzales relatives--to offer flowers, songs, and prayers to our Lord. :) First time na road trip mode with the sisters (not with the parentals) in Cea's own separate auto! Complete with Petron stopover!
Admittedly pagoda, but sobrang thankful ako for the changes I've seen from myself since my quarter life crisis. Friends and even random people will tell me now (and make me feel awkward, hahaha) how I've bloomed, how my style improved, or ibang iba na daw ichura ko (Sabi ni Dani gusto niya ako i-Throwback Thursday sa IG minsan, awa naman! Hahaha!). And although (sabi ko nga) wala akong time for diet and yoga, ni wala nga akong love life! (lol).. I realized that maybe the secret talaga is not a perfect life, but pure joy. I am still a work in progress, but I am getting there.
