YABU Opens at the SM North EDSA

Friday, August 30, 2013

Finally! Northerners can enjoy their favorite katsu place with the opening of Yabu's latest branch --- SM North EDSA! A big CONGRATS to the Yabu team (my favorite!)! Napansin ko the blog barkada, from time to time, will crave for a certain restaurant - at Nam Nam lang yan (Pinoy resto), o YABU! I can't wait for MORE Yabu branches to open para kahit nasaan kami--Shang, ATC, o Greenbelt--we can feast on these soft, breaded goodness, sticky rice, unli-cabbage with sesame dressing, and my favorite potato salad after a tiring day of work and events! Extra laiyu please!!!

Back in February of 2010, which my high school friend and I coined as our "Fitness Month", we tried jogging regularly. She works in one of those Fort Net buildings (forgot if Cube or Square, haha), so I went to her office every other night right after her shift at around 7pm, so we can run (or attempt, haha) around the safe streets of Bonifacio Global City.

Wapake ako noon about my porma, I even ran with my pambahay shirt and shorts, and then just borrowed mom's (pwede-na-pang)running shoes.

But if there was one thing na bawal na bawal ko maiwan, it's my iPod Shuffle. Nakakaganda ng pacing sa takbo, pang-tanggal ng attention from the time na parang ang baaaagaaaal when you're exercising. I was anticipating for the next song from my playlist, not the end of the hour.

It was June 2011 naman when I experienced my first ever run, held around MOA grounds that started ng sobrang agang 5am.

It was an independence day run, thus the red shirts.

We were late, kaya pinatong ko nalang yung shirt (haha). Memorable ng run na yun, to place it bluntly, tumakbo ako ng walang tulog, medyo nakainom the night before, at asa quarter life crisis. ;p

Independence Day na talaga when I reached the finish line! LOL.

Flash forward to 2013, here's an exciting event to look forward to this October! This time, I think I am healthier (though still not an inch of a runner!)...

I'll be joining the Rexona Run 2013: Run to Your Beat!
Run to Your Beat is the 4th year of the Rexona runs. It is the first ever multi-sensorial run where LIVE MUSIC pushes people to run further, and culminates with a PARTY at the finish line!

Mar Corazo, Rexona Brand Manager says, “This was inspired by the insight that when you run to the beat of the music, you run faster, you go further, you’re energized to Do:More!”

The run will be held on October 20 at the Mall of Asia Grounds
Delta Street, Sandwich, The Diegos, DJ Mia Ayesa, Deuce Manila and DJ Nina will be at the gun start (3am) to pump things up.

The 10k race will get the chance to run to Funk Avy and DJ Khai.

Then party up at the finish line with Rico Blanco, Elmo Magalona, and DJ Mars Miranda!

Imagine a run with live bands and DJs - naiimagine ko na the runners bouncing at the same beat! Coach Rio, Rexona partner and running expert says, “It’s been proven that listening to music unleashes your energy, allowing you to run further.” Ang cool maexperience to!

Registration is ongoing till October 13, at Riovanna stores in BGC and Katipunan, and in Tobys outlets in MOA and SM North The Block. Register online here. I took the 5km lang muna! :)

Race Categories, Registration Fee, and Prizes for Rexona Run 2013: Run to Your Beat:
5km (P600) - Prizes: P4k, P3k, P2k
10km (P700) - Prizes: P5k, 4k, 3k
21km (P900) - Prizes: P7k, P5k, P3k

Run to Your Beat is also the ultimate test of Rexona’s efficacy because the product keeps you dry and fresh from the start of the race until the end of the party!

Meanwhile, ako masaya nako makatapos ng 5km with the Sandwich band, habang tumutugtog sila ng Sugod mga kapatid! Hahahaha! :p

For the Watch Lovers and Watch Collectors!

Truth be told, happy na ako with my black oversized watch and gold medium watch! But this red VELOCI is another sulit statement piece--with its brilliant red face, tapos pwede pang palit-palitan ang straps (each timepiece comes with 3 different Asprewatchstraps), good investment na sha.

Outfit photos with my red Veloci:

Hairchitec Makeover with the Blog Fam! - Used with the white strap:

The VELOCI timepiece has an iconic premium design with a price tag that’s easy on the wallet
This classic timepiece currently has three collections under its belt:

Cute noh! The VELOCI Cruise collection will make you want to collect all 9 colors (haha, Happy Meal? ;p). It comes in a palette of colors from cool pastel pink to lemon yellow and subdued hues of gray and classic white to the more adventurous bright red (mine!), purple, and blue.

2) VOYAGER COLLECTION (40mm / 44mm)
The Voyager collection showcases a more outdoors-driven trend for the active lifestyle. Perfect for those who prefer a rougher and rugged feel for their watches.
VELOCI's newest collection: the Aeronaute Collection carries a few lighter shades-- a subdued yellow and white, but the darker and more sophisticated colors still take center stage.

Crowd favorite: The camo face from the new Aeronaure Collection!

All VELOCI watches showcase stainless steel watch cases, high-grade Japanese movements and equipped with high-quality nylon NATO straps. What are your favorites? :)

Wearing my latest Veloci -- in lovely tangerine! < 3

Went to an event last Tuesday, where I was introduced to this foldable flats brand Butterfly Twists:

This is a cute event. It started with origami-making, they have instructions printed, but give up kaagad ako, haha!
Hi Christine, Sarah, and Tracy!

Galeng, Christine was able to make her origami butterfly:

Meanwhile!!! Hehehe, kamusta naman jan Sarah? ;p

They also had a short program, with celebrity-blogger Nicole Anderson as the host:

A fashion show:

And some of the Butterfly Twists designs were on display:

I think they have lahat-na prints that will suit your taste! Zebra-print and classy leopard flats:

Neutral tone and black, with studs:

Foldable brogues:

Bow accents:

And, the cutest invention, lalo for the rainy days: foldable boots!

Cute rain boots that you can easily bring with you in case it rains. Dyahe din kasi yung mag booboots ka sabay sobrang sikat ng araw pala that day. :p

My favorite: buckled rain boots

That folds like this:
Parang printed pouch lang! :) Covet!
