It was a long day, and 12ish a.m. na ngayon dito sa Maryland, and almost everyone's asleep nadin. We spent most of the day on the road at sobrang traffic from Baltimore to Pennsylvania, from time to time pag nagigising ako feeling ko magigising ako na asa EDSA traffic or something, kaso dito wala akong 3G, nightmare! Lol.

Kamusta na jan sa Pinas? Kamusta ang Christmas rush? Ok ba ang trato sa inyo ng taxi drivers, e ng malls?! Baltimore is in full-Christmas-mode, with the crazy snow, and with my cousins na kids sa house na everyday namin kasama! :) We finished watching White Chicks kanina, on a school night, and sobrang laughtrip parin! More relatives are coming over soon, so for sure kagulo lalo bilang crazy talaga ang dad's side ko!

But before that....

Dress - H&M | Tights - Old Navy | Boots - Forever 21

Feeling fall during our last day in LA! Our relatives from mom's side were very kind to bring us to the J. Paul Getty Museum, or the Getty, an art museum with beautiful outdoors and sobrang hightech "tour guides". Huling hirit! Hindi uli super cold that day, although I still wore 2 dresses para may layers incase (haha!). Biglang lamig kasi doon lalo pag pagabi! For a tropical girl, nag enjoy ako taking photos in a fall-ish backdrop, while imagining spending an afternoon in the benches under these beautiful trees, reading a book till sunset. :)

We rode Getty's pilotless tram to get to the museum:

The place is HUGE so medyo seselect ka lang talaga ng areas you want to immerse yourself in, although if you have a day, pwede ding mag overstay dito para mas sulit ang punta!

Learned from their site that there is no entrance fee to the museum! Ang awesome naman! I wish meron din tayong ganito sa Pinas, same with a decent public library!

Ang cool sa Getty Museum is that you don't need a tour guide to go around and acquaint yourself with the drawings or sculptures, etcetera. Meron silang iPod Touch gadget na niloloan to the visitors, with matching headset, which serves as your map and museum guide nadin. And cool is every artwork may naka mark lang na numbers na you can input sa iPod, tapos may interesting vid or commentary na!

Cool quote from the gods and heroes exhibit:

Medusa:

Daming paandar! Cea examining one painting's colors and strokes, naks! ;p

Cute kids! Ang daming nagfifieldtrip that day:

A photo with an original Van Gogh!!! The Irises was painted by my favorite artist Vincent Van Gogh during his stay in an assylum. Sana makita ko din yung Starry Night someday! :D

Super nakakatuwa their souvenir shops! < 3 For the Irises, I wanted to get everything lalo na the scarf --pero medyo mahal, hehe!

Cool and inspiring din the photography section:

"Down the rabbit's hole"

Went around, building after building. May meet up point nalang ang family para ok lang kahit magkawalaan. This place is HUGE!

Cea and I went together. Nakarating kami sa area where there's a nice view of the city...Pede na mag ootd! Haha! I realized when we walked around pa lalo, that ang daming even nice architectures and unique gardens in the Getty!

More fieldtrip kids!

Saw mom in one of the cafes, so sinama na namin sha to look for the garden. Meron sa map na parang may maze, so we looked around for it. These beige umbrellas were placed in boxes sa different entrances here and there, kalat lang sha and pwedeng pwede mo lang gamitin while walking around. Napaka-convenient!

Then we discovered the benches! ;p

It is near the cool "maze" aka the Central Garden, created by the artist Robert Irwin. Ang ganda, although asa water pala sha so bird's eye view lang ang photo! ;p

After more than an hour, the family met-up na near the lobby at gutom nadin. Final photo ops in this beautiful place before heading to our next stop.
Mom's sisters, who had both been so accommodating to my family during our California stay. < 3
