Golden Globes Makeup: Amy Adams

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Lots of bloggers have posted their favorite gowns during the Golden Globes, so I'll post a series of celebritites with the best makeup during the starstudded event. Makeup Artist Stephen Sollitto created a chic 1970s-inspired makeup look for Amy Adams, who won the Golden Globe for Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) for her role as Sydney Prosser in American Hustle.

To start off, Sollitto applied a light dusting of Bronzing Pressed Powder in Matte Bronze:

Sollitto achieved the “perfect glow” by applying Crème Cheek Colour in Praline to Adams’ cheeks using his fingers:

Sollitto applied a mixture of Crème Lip Colour in Tangerine and Discretion because the customized shade “supported Adams’ bronzy glow, but didn't compete with it for attention":

Sollitto created a modern neutral base by applying Baked Eye Colour in Ballet Pink all over Adams’ lids:

Next, he brushed Baked Eye Colour in Terracotta, into Adams’ lash line and lid and sweeping it out at the corners of her eyes and under her bottom lashes:

To make Adams’ eyes “pop,” Sollitto applied Caviar Eye Stick Colour in Plum to her upper lash line and the outer corner of her lower lash line:

Instead of blending in with the red carpet, Amy Adams showed us how to stand out even in rouge gown. ;)
