Adidas: All in for #MYGIRLS

Sunday, July 06, 2014

I have to be honest, I don't know anymore what will motivate me to commit to a fitness life again. After Crossfit 101, I just stopped. No more daily staiscase exercise, no more "budget" for Bikram in Alabang, and CF Greenhills is just too far for an AlabangerThen I was invited to Adidas My Girls press launch. I took this as a sign!

We were asked to put together an all-Adidas outfit. Although most came up with a runner / gym chic look wearing their cute girly Adidas trainers, I opted to go "normcore" in this very 90s slippers. Looking at this photo now, I actually looked like (minus the cap) I'll be going to my yoga class. Namiss ko! :p

Created by women for women, Adidas announced the return of #MYGIRLS FW14 following their successful launch last year. This year’s campaign is more exciting--capturing the new ambassadors in their home country leading and inspiring their peers to work together and go all in for their sporting pursuits.

Adidas got local ambassadors from across the South East Asian region, including Fay Hokulani for Singapore, Si Phitsinee Tanwiboon for Thailand, Maria Selena for Indonesia, and of course, Isabelle Daza and Solenn Heussaff for Philippines.

Before the program started, I had the chance to check out Planet Sports BGC's 2nd floor, a site dedicated to women's sports brands, including Adidas.

The Adidas Gazelle sneakers are to-die-for:

Pieces from the Adidas x Stella McCartney collab, in love with the daisy prints:

Neon gym bags:

The energy BOOST running shoe comprises a stretch mesh upper, BOOST cushioning and flexible TORSION® system provides unparalleled comfort, support and stability – delivering a unique running experience.

Event's host, witty blogger, workout addict, and my favorite Ms. Divine Lee:

Everyone looked great in their fashionable Adidas sports and lifestyle apparel:

“Last year we shot the campaign in Singapore, but this time we have decided to create local campaigns in each of the respective markets so that the female consumer can connect with #mygirls on a personal level,” said Nadina Tyropoli, Brand Manager for SEA and Pacific.

Team Adidas Philippines:

Other products featured in the #MYGIRLS campaign are:

1) Clima Training Bra - designed with a wide racer back and cross back straps to provide maximum support and fit, the Clima Training bra is perfect for medium to high intensity workout sessions such as dancing and running.
2) Adidas Techfit Training Tights - also made with the superior climalite® fabric which sweeps perspiration away from skin. The techfit™ technology also focuses the muscles' energy to generate maximum explosive power, acceleration and long-term endurance.

The #mygirls campaign aims to provide inspiration, support and motivation while celebrating women and their passion for sports. I am so glad I was there, malaking motivation nga to go back to a fitness life ang having new and beautiful gym clothes! :)

#MYGIRLS for Southeast Asia kicks off across the region on July 13 in the Philippines, and simultaneously in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines on August 1. Follow Adidas on Facebook for updates on this campaign.
