Vikings Buffet: South East Asian Street Food for August!

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Sorry for inconsiderably posting this at this time! Haha! So earlier today, I had a feast with Vikings SM Megamall, as they served to us their new South East Asian menu specially created just for the month of August! Expect these new selections every weekend next month--so for the Malaysian, Singaporean and Indonesian food lovers out there... ready your tummies!

Food trip buddies Rhea and Pax! :)

Vikings will also serve these dishes and desserts along with their classic buffet selections--making their already-vast food varieties even MORE exciting (thank you!). I love the theme that they came up with for this month:

Kerabu Sotong Kering

Roti and Beef Curry

Beef and Chicken Satay

Chef, explaining the new menu:

Bak Kut Teh

Main Course at Chinese Section:
Chicken Rice

Main Course at International Section
Beef Rendang + Vegetable Biryani

Singaporean Fish Curry

Hokkien Mee

Chili Oyster Crab

Interesting trivia on the spices used for these dishes:

Pineapple Tart

Cendol (parang halo-halo)

Thank you to the great chefs of Vikings for the treat and these awesome dishes! :) For Asian cuisine lovers, I am sure you'll enjoy these as well.
