I hope I didn't flood your feeds with my blog posts and Instagram backlogs! The past days, I wasn't my consistent "blog agad-agad" self, and had gathered around 10ish event posts and several IG assignments in my to-do list, huhu. Nakakalula! So anyway, so sorry for the sudden gush of posts today since it's one of my free days!
Anyway, I caught the flu, and had the reading-craze phase, so instead of blogging I was either enjoying Singapore in the eyes of the Crazy Rich Asians, or I was in a deeep deeeeep sleep. Which felt great! I had more than 8 hours of sleep since Wednesday. :)
And since I'm in the mood to post something random naman, aside from events, here's my August Favorites. I'll try to make this a regular blog segment, kung maalala ko every end of the month, hehe.
1) Laura Mercier Flawless Face Kit
I recently received this cool ELF Cosmetics Eyebrow Doctor kit, and thought of creating a tutorial on how I shape my own brows using makeup. I usually just use brown eyebrow makeup to shape and fill my kilay, but using several good quality makeup and tools makes the eyebrows look more filled and still natural. Also, it lasts longer, which is important!
Cellphones are getting prettier and prettier! Not only are the features superb, but the new lineup from ASUS Philippines are very stylish gadgets that answered all our concerns when it comes to mobile phones. I attended the grand ZenFestival last August 29 to find out more about these.
ZenFone Selfie, one of the powerful phones introduced last Saturday at the festival, held at The Eye in Green Sun, Makati.
My favorite brand for my basics, UNIQLO, recently joined forces with Team Manila, one of the top graphic design studios in the Philippines. Together with Filipino illustrator Dan Matutina, the collab captures the identity of the country in a fresh way by featuring iconic Pinoy jeepney, sorbetes, alibata, and one-of-a-kind calligraphy designs.
Here are some of these tees:
When Shakey’s opened its first branch 40 years ago, there was little expectation outside of the opening of a restaurant for a delicious pizza that could warm the stomach as much as it would warm the heart. Many decades and numerous branches later, the brand has established itself as a comforting and cherished place where regulars enjoy gathering with family and friends.
I love documenting special and even day-to-day happenings in my life. Maybe that's why I have this personal blog in the first place! From a diary-writer to a blogger, mingling along with my words are visuals - including plane tickets, hand-written secret notes, receipts, tissue paper doodles, and of course, pictures!
In this digital age, we often just leave photos in our laptop's albums because it is practical and economical. But what if I show you another fun and easy way of printing your pictures? Guys, meet StoryTell Prints.
Our favorite tech store, Beyond the Box, really went beyond the box yesterday as they host the first of the many "Box Talks" for its customers. An exciting concept for forever-students-of-life like me (hehe), Box Talks are workshops designed to speak to the average "non-techie" in a format and a language designed to inspire and enable.
Yey! An interesting themed-cafe enters Metro Manila once again! Recession Coffee by Digital Walker offers coffee at whatever price you wish to pay. Yup, it's a pay-what-you-want cafe.
Can I be a student forever? :D Haha! I love learning, especially things that interest me like last Saturday's class!
Never had a week this packed, unless I count my out of country trips! Monday palang I was nervous for the week, how will I juggle classes, my fitness life (yoga, gym), events, and my blog. I kept taking Berocca and Enervon to stay healthy, and had to sadly back-out in advance from some events just to keep my focus (and also avoid being late!). Anyway, here's one of the reasons why I'm busy-excited the past days...
If you're in Glorietta or Makati area today, make sure to drop by Team Manila's newest pop-up store. They also have an ongoing exhibit, and today is its last day!
I used to be a BIG bazaarista. I don't just shop in all holiday and non-holiday themed bazaars, I even join them! I miss those days. Anyway, there's a big one coming soon, and it promises you great and unique finds from our local merchants! Sharing to you a teaser of what's going to happen at the first Spectrum Fair Manila.
Sanuk was with me since Coron 2009.
I have no time for TV! It's so sad! At night, after a long day of classes, work, or events, I just lie down on my bed, update my social media (guilty pleasure along with scrolling my Instagram or Facebook feed mindlessly), and read my current book or series. Salitan lang yan.
Anyway, I am glad that I am able to catch-up with my series via iflix.
The past weeks were all about attending classes and workshops. It can get tiring, trying to get from Alabang to my destination, but always, when I learn a new thing or two, braving the recent extra-unbearable traffic becomes worth it. It doesn't have to be a skill I need to apply for my career or para sa ekonomiya (haha), usually I just go for things that interest me, basta something that I find enjoyable.
Just like last Saturday's Avant Pop Nail Workshop with Bandi Philippines.
When it comes to trendy shoes, Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo admits her go-to brand is Primadonna.
"I love how quick Primadonna is when it comes to picking up what is uso. So if I see Taylor Swift wearing something na gusto ko, I run agad to Primadonna because I'm sure they have what I'm looking for!"
When I heard about Madonna's concert in Manila, I was excited. I thought that it's about time, long overdue na ang concert na yan! But when they released the ticket prices, ay NVM (never mind, lol). My Php 60, 000 is not for a one-night concert, I'd rather invest it in my Sun Life plan, or for car downpayment, or even for further studies. :p
I can even spend my Php 60, 000 to go back to Japan! My budget when I went there last March was around Php 86k, inclusive of pre travel expenses like visa, accommodations, and airfares. Konti nalang makakaikot nako from Osaka-Nara-Kobe-Kyoto-Tokyo uli for 12 days (Read more

One of the world's top brands for surfing and casual wear, O'Neill has been in the Philippines for 4 years now, quietly catering to the needs of the growing local surfing community. Founded in 1952 by a young man named Jack O'Neill, O'Neill is the product of his unstoppable passion for surfing. He was looking for a way to extend his surf sessions in the bone-chilling breaks of Northern California, thus Jack fashioned the FIRST neoprene surfing wetsuit!
We can say that O'Neill is the original California surf, snow, and youth lifestyle brand.
As I said in my Instagram post, a girl can dream.
I love artsy events! Although a challenge to come up with something for just a few hours, in a way it makes me think and become more creative. Last Thursday, Dove hosted a crafting activity inline with launching their latest product: Dove Powder Soft.
How fast time flies! After last year's successful event, Oishi stages another Snacktacular 3-day event filled with snacks, surprises, and more! I had so much fun last year, so I went again earlier! Sharing some of the things you can expect when you visit Trinoma Activity Center over the weekend.
If you ask me, I try to keep my number of gadgets at minimal. I get super confused during the time I had to juggle two phones, so imagine my bewilderment every time I meet people who owns 3 or more phones! Anyway, along with my phone comes another "toy" that I consider worth the "juggling" just because of its neat functions and for aesthetic reasons.
Here is the world's first tablet with interchangeable cover design: the new ASUS ZenPad. Aside from its sleek and fashionable style, this tablet is also very much tech-savvy.
Please transport me back to Japan! Although I don't eat Kobi Beef and legit tonkatsu, my sweet tooth misses Japanese desserts a lot! I think I reached this Japan sepanx when I tasted Uncle Tetsu's new Signature Cheese Tart variant 2 days ago. It is nice, well-made, hindi nakakaumay... very much like the brand's country of origin.
BackJoy recently had a installation at the Eastwood Mall Open Park where people, young and old, learned about posture in a more fun and challenging set-up.
