H&M Opens at SM Southmall!

Gone are the days when "family days" were spent an hour or so away from home. 

We used to go to Makati pa every Saturday or Sunday for mom to do her groceries, us to run some errands, and even just to shop or buy things. Now that gigantic malls have already sprouted here in the south, weekends are more comfortable and less stressful. Imagine my delight when I saw my favorite shops opening on this side of the Metro!

Yesterday, SM Southmall was packed with fashion lovers and shoppers as they opened the first H&M in the south.

"There is no better way to celebrate our anniversary in the Philippines than to reach out to even more customers, as we move to open stores in a part of Metro Manila we have only begun to explore!" said Fredrik Famm, Country Manager for South East Asia. 

People lined up to visit the 7th H&M in the Philippines. Heard that the first ones were there since the night before, and slept over outdoors just to get the first dibs!

The store opening also coincides with H&M's first year in the Philippines. When I entered the mall, I felt the excitement and good vibes from all the people!

I was tasked to do the style spotting, where 5 fashionable guests in line will receive Php 2000 H&M GCs. So I scoured through the thick lines while they were having a countdown. I was nervous to do this at first because "sino ba naman ako", haha. But it was a fun experience, and everybody looked great even when they're lined up for hours!

As with any H&M store opening, everyone's energetic and all-out! The H&M crew danced to party music:

Prizes were awarded to the first people in line: a P5,000 Gift Card for the first person in line and P2,500 Gift Cards each for the second and third. The first 500 shoppers in line also received tote bags, umbrellas and gift cards in varying amounts.  

My most stylish for the day! They were all super game, and even walked down the runway in front of the huge crowd!

H&M SM Southmall is a full concept store, carrying ladieswear, menswear, kids, HOME, as well as its plus-size line, H&M+. The store is 2-floor and HUGE!


Fashion fans are sure to Fall in Love as the store opening will coincide with the Fall season – highlighting its best fashion for the year, featuring romantic silhouettes for her and date-ready casual wear for him.

Aside from in-season clothes, they also have gym outfits, underwear, accessories, bags, shoes, etc.

I love H&M accessories. I buy H&M bags because they're stylish and sturdy.

H&M will also continue to feature its Garment Collecting initiative in this store, where customers can donate their used clothes and get a discount voucher to use for their next purchase at H&M.

Guests also enjoyed discounts during the opening day. Availed the 20% off on all items that they had yesterday.

 Apart from this new location, we continue to expand in the metro with openings in SM Dasmarinas, SM Clark, Festival Mall and Gateway Mall, and outside the city as we gear up for our launch in Cebu. I'm actually super excited for the H&M Festival Mall opening, yehey! It's our family weekend mall.
