Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Sands SkyPark

Wednesday, April 26, 2017

I love my guest house and hostel experiences... But one of my far-fetched travel goals is to someday consider luxury accommodations, including the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, when in Singapore. It is their biggest hotel, and offers a beautiful view of the South China Sea or Marina Bay, and of course Singapore's beautiful skyline.

Imagine seeing this everyday, at night, during your trip!

View from the grand Marina Bay Sands Straits Suite:

But for now, I will settle with the short tour I had with my blog friends Pax and Tracy in one of Singapore's best hotels!
Thank you Marina Bay Sand's Sarah for having us!

Some cool stuff I learned during our private tour:

1) Marina Bay Sands Hotel has 2,561 rooms and suites, with over 55 floors. This includes 180 suites and 242 Club rooms.

2) The hotel has sloping towers and straight legs connected at Level 23 to form a single building. In hotel Tower 1, the slope is as steep as 26 degrees, making it one of the most complex hotels ever built! During its construction phase, Marina Bay Sands built one new hotel floor every four days, the FASTEST pace ever for a development of this scale in Singapore.

3) Meanwhile, the Sands SkyPark is an architectural masterpiece sitting on top of the three hotel towers at Marina Bay Sands. This 1.2 hectare tropical oasis is even longer than the Eiffel Tower, and is tall and large enough to park four-and- a-half A380 jumbo jets! It extends to form one of the world’s longest public cantilevers.

View from here is also AMAZING!

4) Hotel guests have the exclusive use of a 150-metre infinity swimming pool, the world’s largest outdoor pool at that height:

Restaurants and bars surrounding the pool area:
  • 5) Hello from Marina Bay Sands' Marina Bay Sands Straits Suite, this room costs a whopping Php 200,000 / night (USD 4000+)!!!

It looks like a MANSION to me! It even has its own piano in the corner! My friends and I were joking that you wouldn't see us leave our room if we're booked here, hehehe!

Again, VIEW:

Some amazing trivia: guests get a personal butler when they're staying here.

It has its own GYM and WALK-IN CLOSET.

It has TWO huge rooms with own bathroom (and tub).

And an OFFICE. But who works when they're on vacation!!?? Maybe I'll blog here every night hehe.

Will you consider booking in Marina Bay? What's on your long-term travel bucketlist?

Special thanks to Aisa Ipac and Marina Bay Sands for the tour.
And to FLYTPACK for my stable internet connection while in Singapore!
