Garden of Morning Calm (Finally!)

So this was my THIRD time at the Garden of Morning Calm, but it actually felt like my first! I finally saw it during the day with lots of sunshine and without having to rush for the public bus.

During my first visit, the garden was least of our priority since my friends and I preferred the more popular Nami Island and Petite France. When we reached the Garden of Morning Calm, it was already 30 minutes before its closing that the ticket booth offered us discounted passes just to scramble around before they close. During my second time, I went here straight from the airport but sadly still arrived late. This was when I witnessed the garden all lighted up and so beautiful, but I had a tinge of disappointment since I was hoping to see the pond where Love In The Moonlight (or Moonlight Drawn By Clouds) was shot.

But third time's a charm! ✨ So I made sure that when my family goes to this side of South Korea, we have to visit the garden first thing in the morning! 😂

Before, I can't get over Japan and Korea because of their cheap shopping! All you have to do is go to the nearest Daiso or Don Quijote stores, and score all sorts of things at low low price--from skincare, to toys, to house needs, they have it! And most of them looks so cute pa!

That's why they call it "wastelands", because most of the things you think you will not need, biglang you will buy just because it's so hard to resist! Tapos naooverwhem pa ako coz we don't have them here then.

Good thing quality wastelands are already sprouting here in the country. We have Miniso stores, WeDo, and my new favorite: MUMUSO!

It's so hard to write for me about things na lumipas na, that's why as much as possible I make my blog posts in a span of a week or two right after my travel! But for this Korea trip, things happened the moment I got back!

Assignments just started to pile up, there's Bloggers United event, work commitments, friend's wedding, concerts and other personal engagements.. but hey! I will super try my best to recall what happened on those days now that I am back at home--whole day all to myself!

I am so excited to see Britney Spears LIVE tomorrow at the Mall of Asia Arena! Thank you so much Smart Communications for making millions of childhood dreams happen this Thursday--finally Britney is going to perform in Manila!!! I can seriously still remember the first time I heard Baby One More Time during the 90s, I was in school then! My peers were dancing, copying her music video, complete with belly-button baring tees..Ang cool cool nila non! Haha!

Other than releasing one hit pop song and dance moves after another, Queen Britney has always been a style icon to many! When Angela asked me what I'll be wearing for tomorrow's #SmartBritneySpears concert, I can't help but look back on the pop star's music videos.

If my hair is still long, most prob will go for the sleek, straight hair Britney in Oops I Did It Again!

I am a night owl, there's no denying it! I function well when it's already almost midnight. I churn my blogs and finish some online tasks. Then I end my night with an episode or 2 of Kdrama! 

That's why I don't really wake up na for breakfast. I know it's a bad habit I've formed, but as I grow older, I want to change this: from my time of sleep, to my first meal of the day.

During my event with Quaker last week, I learned that breakfast can actually start at night.. With the preparation, that is!

After watching period dramas like Love in the Moonlight, Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and Hwarang, I think wearing a Korean Traditional Costume has more meaning to me now compared to when I did last year. In a way, I feel that I have a wee bit more knowledge on the history and lifestyle back during Joseon and Goryeo dynasties of Korea. Nakaka relate na ako! 😃

I decided to rent a hanbok in advance (online) for our palace-hopping day.
