Spotify is celebrating a decade of its K-Pop ON! (온) playlist, which has been instrumental in introducing K-Pop to global audiences since its launch in 2014.
To mark the occasion, Spotify is launching a special series of Spotify Singles featuring K-Pop groups ENHYPEN, SHOWNU X HYUNGWON (of MONSTA X), and STAYC. The singles will cover songs by senior K-Pop artists who inspired these groups, with releases scheduled every two weeks starting from February 16.
Additionally, exclusive bonus content, including performance videos and behind-the-scenes footage, will be available on Spotify's K-Pop ON! (온) Video Podcast and YouTube channels.
Spotify's K-Pop ON! (온) playlist has seen significant growth, with over 5.3 million users globally and billions of streams for Korean artists since its inception. The playlist's popularity extends beyond regional boundaries, with the Philippines being the third biggest market.
Spotify's intentional efforts in music discovery have contributed to the exponential increase in K-Pop streams, with significant growth recorded globally and locally.
