The other career path =p

I designed some necklaces today out of my old plain designs. "Deconstruction", if I can call that the technique I used. I realized a more mixed media style, even for accessories, creates something eye catching and beautiful. =)

Named this collection Once Upon A Time... "Lady-like, romantic necklaces pour la belle mademoiselle. "

I am inspired by the fashion magazine and fashion sites overload I did to myself the past few days. I reviewed the only 2 ViVi magazines I have at home: Ella's and the one Ate gave to me from HK. Then I got myself the new Preview mag...which is cool because it turns out to be their anniversary issue meaning the magazine is jam-packed with all things fashion, like the McQueen tribute! I hope I can create a whole lot more accessories for my online shop, and maybe, create more LOOKS when I go out. ;-)

Speaking of creating looks, I was invited by my Manila Times newspaper friends to another feature this coming Thursday. Although instead of focusing on ANAGON, I was invited as a stylist for a back-to-school fashion article. They'll ask me for tips, plus asked me to invite some models to dress up with the said theme. I am so excited! Hope I can pull this one off!

Anyway, I let a popular newspaper "feature writer search" go-see last Saturday pass-by, just because I forgot about it. =p I know, it was very irresponsible of me. I hope I can create a career out of this styling stint then, or maybe I should try sending articles again to random magazines. I officially miss being part of this industry. =p 




PS: I changed my background! :p Was tinkering with the new Blogger design feature, got lazy, and revisited Shabby Blogs! :) Changed my header too. Photo by my friend Tamems, the line was from a Goo Goo Dolls song! I missed listening to the Goo Goo Dolls, and I really hope they go here in my country for a concert--long overdue since the last time they cancelled! ;)
