For a "Sleek Black"-themed event a few nights ago, I decided to steer clear from the expected Little Black Dress + Pumps combination. Other than knowing that that look is just not me, I am forming a new advocacy (hahaha) that you can wear flats / sneakers in a formal setting / event!

Another idea is wearing a maxi skirt with sleek mandals. I was browsing online shops and found an amazing selection of maxi dresses at ZALORA. This black maxi dress with slit is my favorite.
On another note, I remembered my family's Vegas vacation 2 Christmases ago (read my posts HERE and HERE). We had 2 nights at the Sin City, and it was just not enough! I'll probably be sporting these outfits if ever I'll be given the chance to explore this side of the States more, and visit The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Mixing modern with classic makes these Cosmopolitan Chic looks pass from day to night -appropriate. I can imagine a breezy morning shopping around the resort's 36,000 square feet of retail space in my trusty houndstooth sneakers. Also, I feel that I will not be over-dressed for a casual Secret Pizza lunch, nor underdressed for a fancy dinner at Estiatorio Milos. All these, of course, before heading to a bar or the casino at night. Ahhh, a girl can dream!
