Dare You To Move

Monday, April 29, 2013

Shemay ang blurry pala ng photos, haha, sorry! :( Pagabi na when we took these pictures, and as always, habol-araw ang labanan namin "para di masayang ang outfit" hahaha. Selfie generation represent! :p Joke lang a, hahaha. Parang ang shallow ko! ;p

Baseball Shirt - Robinsons Department Store
Skirt - SM Ladies Fashion
White Sneakers - Shulong
Wrap Watch - Booms Closet
Chain Necklace - Anagon
Thank you Ava for taking my photos!

Anyway, decided to go "pa-sporty" na stylish for the Move event last week. And ang sporty sakin baseball shirt and Shulong sneakers -- matched with this eye-catching SM Ladies skirt na ginulat nanay ko. Akala nya napunit daw sa labahan, hahaha! I wonder anong sports ang pwede ko gawin with this look na hindi ako matatapilok! Belly dancing na nga lang! ;D Char.

I got this wrap bracelet watch from Booms Closet nung day na yun mismo, and suot ko na-- agad-agad! I love watches, and this one instant accessory narin with the studs! Planning to buy another gold watch - okay ba yung Swatch o MK? Ok sobrang off-topic na! ;p

Sabi ng shirt ko: "Know your dreams and make them real."

Kung usapang dreams in life naman, I've been living one of mine by attending a digital marketing course last week, thanks to my bff Paul's referral. One of my biggest dreams is to go back to school and learn more on the business side of things (wala akong background jan bilang journ grad!). And although online lang ito (and just one face-to-face class/orientation), sobrang saya ko learning and then even reviewing/studying!

Some photos during our "bootcamp"

I LOVE taking down notes! Sakit na sha, haha. Naalala ko sa hindi required na seminar, I was taking down notes parin kaya niloloko ako ng classmate ko "May quiz?" Haha! Mas hightech pa ngayon, pag mashadong mahaba or diagram form na yung naka project sa screen, picturean!

Online marketing is fairly new for us, lalo na ang daaaami nang technology we can utilize for our brand to effectively reach our market. Anong dapat gamitin? Ok ba mag Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, FB? Anong content ang bagay for your adurience? Learned a lot from the 5-hour class! http://www.imadigitalmarketer.com/

May day na I saved some notes from our online portal sa iTouch ko dahil on-the-go and busy lang my days, so I browsed through them during my long bus ride to Edsa (from Alabang) OMW to an event. I can't fight the urge to tweet na sobrang saya ko lang, to study again, and read while commuting using my gadget--sobrang hightech lang! Ang saya saya ng mga students ngayon--and galing to sa kid who went through ISP bonanza, typewriter, and film SLR!

If you want to take up din the online marketing course, I dare you to move and visit IMMAP Digital Marketer Program:

Graduate na dito si Kelly! ;) Hehe!

Ending with this Twitter-worthy quote, haha:
Don't let your dreams, just be dreams. :)

Ciao!

Anne Vyalitsyna for SUITEBLANCO

The Philippines opens its doors in May 2013 to the newest fashion destination for European fast fashion: SUITEBLANCO.

For SUITEBLANCO's Spring Bloom collection, fun, bright pastels and sleek, tailored pieces dominate the scene. Light and laidback, cool and collected, just like famed Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, who fronts SUITEBLANCO’s new campaign. The Russian beauty lends a youthful, energetic vibe to denim, knits, and lightweight casuals!

I love this clean look - navy blue blazer, striped shirt, white pants. Made sleeker with minimal accessories, and hair pulled up in tight ponytail:

Basics:

Pop of color - seafoam green still dominates a lot of campaigns. Ang fresh kasi!

Daytime porma: I love the easy-breezy printed polo top, matched with perfect fitting jeans and colored bag!

Cute the sleeves details of this basic white polo. Ang summery din ng striped skirt, will definitely wear this look!

Presko ng top! Love the cut, and the colors.

Moremore freshness! Love the pale blush top matched with florals. :)

Cute night-out dresses:

SUITEBLANCO speaks to the individuals who are undaunted by the latest trends and are bold in making decisions. It is for the individuals who are confident with their style and the choices that they make. With on-trend, aspirational, and affordable products, SUITEBLANCO gives the optimal shopping experience to consumers.

Visit SUITEBLANCO's flagship store located in SM Aura Premier at the Fort.

Marks & Spencer SS 2013

Sunday, April 28, 2013

Memorize na natin to---Basta Marks & Spencer, classic! Naalala ko grade school palang, usong uso na yung "slouched" socks look. Hindi na ako makakita ng photo ng original version, but parang ganito effect niya na mas manipis, tapos matched with black DMs na Mary Janes! ;p

What's new in our long-time favorite store (kahit food (digestives!) nila classic!) - Women celebrate Spring in style from Marks & Spencer brands M&S Woman, Autograph, Classic, Per una, Indigo collection, and Limited collection!  We went to their Shangrila Mall fashion show last Saturday to preview these new pieces.

Bringing stylish clothes in great value, M&S Woman embodies the season in timeless hues of brown, white, and black with a pop of red, bright blue, and greens. This collection also features tropical and tribal prints for its swim pieces.

For summer 2013, comfort is key with Marks & Spencer's colored jeggings - funky and still comfortable especially for long commutes and travels. Bet how the pants spruced up the plain white top:

Another colored pants, this time in a light mint green shade. Looks great with the denim polo (used as cover up) - cute day-time outfit! Ang lamig sa mata:

Powder blue will always be close to my heart (naks) -- nice pairing with the salmon colored knit top. Note also the quirky feel of the peeping collar detail:

I love the dainty seafoam green color, a pop of color from all the blacks. But ang mas favorite ko is the skirt with the low back, + 2 white pipes details:

A classy M&S girl's night out outfit: classic pieces with a twist, like this cute detailed jacket:

And of course, eto na siguro ang Summer Solstice / Wanderland uniform ko!
Or pwede din siguro pag airconditioned concert venue like kay Jason Mraz sa Araneta! Comfortable and cute!

Eastpak Artist Studio 2013

Eastpak is close to the hearts of the alternative communities – supporting the likes of creative and innovative people in various industries. Thus, the brand came up with the Eastpak Artist Studio!

Drove to The Collective Malugay in Makati with Papa D and Sarah to check out this year's designs and learn more on the artists involved in Eastpak Artist Studio 2013

My happy place! When we reached The Collective, may ukelele ganap - they were playing happy songs, and people in the audience even strummed along their own ukelele and DANCED! Nakakainggit! - I love the free spirit vibe here! Sarah taking photos of the Kyas Ryo concert:

Anyway, ayaw pa namin sana umalis, but we have an event to attend to--another artsy and inspiring ganap inside the Vinyl on Vinyl store, near my other favorite CraftMNL:

The Bratpack Remix Program involves converting blank Eastpak’s iconic Padded Pak’r bag into one-of-a-kind masterpieces by artists from around the globe! The proceeds of the project go to a charity organization called Designers Against AIDS. An art-for-a-cause!

The event is somehow similar to our Shulong exhibit in Trinoma months ago, where selected bloggers designed our plain Shulong sneakers to reflect our personalities-but for this, medyo larger scale sha and international.

The past editions involved around 130 artists, including graphic designers, product designers, DJs, and even chefs! Saw these hardbound books on display along with the backpacks, and learned from Primer's Ean Sanchez that the book features the backpacks designed by artists ALL OVER THE WORLD! Sobrang cool!

For Pinas, five local artists were tapped by Eastpak and Bratpack Remix:

1) John Paul “Apol” Sta. Maria
If not busy producing ideas for advertising, John Paul “Apol” Sta. Maria can be caught breathing life to characters in his comic books and art works. Aside from being a notable visual creator for the corporate industry, Sta. Maria is a well-loved in the art scene for his uncanny pieces that invokes humor and curiosity in the mind of the observer.

2) Happy Andrada
Representing the local fashion and art scene is Happy Andrada, co-owner of F*Art Fashion and a winner in a slew of design competitions here and abroad, including awards from the Miami International Fashion Week, International Emerging Designer of 2012, Swatch Watch design contest, and the Inspiring Young Filipino Entrepreneur Award by Go Negosyo 2010. Not new to representing the country abroad, Andrada brings pride for the country in international fashion events and art conventions.

3) Paulo Bernaldo

Paulo Bernaldo has earned recognition as the bassist of Moonstar 88 and The ButcherCons. Aside from his musical inclination, Bernaldo is also an award-winning music video director for both local and foreign artists such as Kamikazee, Parokya ni Edgar, David Archuleta, and more. To further elevate his aptitude for the arts, he is also a graphic and tattoo artist.

4) JP Cuison
An exceptional trendsetter in the practice of graphic arts, JP Cuison is highly-recognized in the Philippine advertising scene and is a two-time representative to the Cannes Young Lions International Advertising Festival. With a knack for infusing the old with the new, Cuison’s taste has led him to be commissioned by heavy-weight brands like Puma, Asia Brewery, Manila Beer, Bench clothing, as well as concert posters by local and foreign musical acts such as Rico Blanco, Razorback, Mr. Big, Addison Groove, and Lymbic System.

5) Resty Tica - eto very Fashionista Commuter! :)
Meanwhile, Resty Tica’s edge lies in his impressive art works. As a print graphic artist and award-winning painter, he is known for his abstract expressionist imagery driven by pop art sensibilities. Tica has participated in numerous group exhibitions, as well as award recognitions such as the Grand Prize for PLDT-DPC Telephone Directory cover art completion, the Artist of the Year Award of the TUP Fine Arts Gawad Pagkilala sa Sining, and more. He is also a graphic artist for network giant, ABS-CBN.

Sayang bands such as The ButcherCons, Moonstar88 also played that night, but hindi na namin naabutan ni Sarah because we had to run to another commitment! :p

Eastpak and Bratpack Remix truly believe in the significance of creative expression and what its power shape and redefine the consciousness of the society. I love that Eastpak always collaborate with artists. Through the Eastpak Artist Studio, both brands get to support and nurture local artists in the country as well as contribute in a meaningful cause.
Congrats to the Eastpak and Bratpack teams! Special thanks to Primer Group's Ean Sanchez and Clang Antonio! :)

With my event partner, Sarah, before leaving my favorite place! :)
