Best Christmas at Best Western Antel Hotel

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

This Christmas, one of my favorite parties was the one with my Boracay blog friends--a staycation in Best Western Plus Antel Hotel last December 18-19. Most probably because (aside from the good company) we had an instant nice and luxury venue, and everything's accessible from the hotel (a mini grocery, spa and parlor, a mall, several restaurants and bars, etc). But for sure it was because hotel sleepover parties meant a more intimate and quality time with my friends, with no worries on what time we're ending or how much intoxicated I can get (haha), or how I will I be able to go home.

I arrived at the hotel a few minutes late from check-in, but still too early for the party. When I got there, Tracy, Seph, and Trice were already settled so sorry for these room photos! Haha!

Living room and kitchen when you get in the suite. There are plates, glasses, and utensils available (or you can request more if needed), a ref, coffee maker, complimentary water, tea, and coffee--the usual. Tracy preparing her coffee:

There are 2 rooms in this suite, both have their own CR (yey!). Here's one of the rooms, a bit smaller, decent, and with a single bed:

While I occupied the room with queen size bed, along with Christine. Both rooms have their own TV, cabinet, bedroom slippers, etc. Everything's clean and actually homey.

Since it was still too early to party, Tracy and I conveniently wasted time in the hotel's poolside (they have 2 pools) and people-watched and also took our paandar photos. Ahhh da life!

The other pool:

I also met different families, and their cute kids or pets. Best Western Antel Hotel houses 3 towers including the A. Venue Suites, the Antel Spa Suites, and the Serenity Tower (where we stayed). They have conference rooms, fitness center / gym, spa, a restaurant and cafe, etc.

Granvia Cafe, where we had our buffet breakfast the next day:

A good friend of Seph and Paul was in Century Mall's new dining area - Hole in the Wall, so we went there for dinner. BEST DECISION EVER! Btw, Century Mall is just walking distance from Best Western.

"A Good Food Gathering", Hole in the Wall is like a level-up food court. The place looks really nice and photogenic, while the food selections are all new, exciting, and really appetizing. Follow them on Instagram @holeinthewallph for more artsy food and restaurant photos, hehe!

It was like entering a huge house with the tastefully mix-and-matched chairs, tables, lamps, and walls. A communal hall you'll enjoy going around in:

Bad Bird was a blockbuster:

Tracy recommends the Green Cheese milk:

Liberation Shawarma. I love the fries, the dips, and the vegetarian option. So good!

Black Bird - giant chicken with either safe, spicy, or chemical flavors, and Japanese / Korean sidings.

Mister Delicious, Phobobo, Kwong's Provisions. So much to try here, so little time! :P

We just have to take "snowing" pictures in their Christmas installation after our dinner! Hehe! I feel that people were judging us, pero ang saya e! Our complete family photo when everybody arrived na from their work. :) Special thanks to Oya for having us!

We went back to our hotel room for the night's actual agenda! WOOT! FYI lang, Maltesers and chocolates from Paul, alak c/o Christine! HAHAHA!

Days before the get-together, Seph introduced us to a high-tech Secret Santa website where, pag lahat kami sa group nakapag input na ng wish list, we all receive our "baby" and his / her wish list via email. Ang galing! During the revelation time, I got a Happy Skin Lip and Cheek Tint from Pax the Christmas Grinch who can't keep a secret (haha! Benta!), while I gave Angela her "music festival-ready" sling bag! :) Ang saya!

We handed gifts, had drinks, and played a riot version of charades / Head's Up. Fun night!
From Tracy, Sarah, Christine, Nico, Paul, Papa D, Pax, Trice, Alyssa, Angela, Seph, and yours truly: Hope your holiday parties were as merry and bright, spent with people you love! :)
