My Singapore-Malaysia Budget Trip #ChooseBetter

Tuesday, June 30, 2015

I started travelling using my own money on April 2008. Fresh grad and earning just enough from my online shop (Anagon Collection!), I went to Bangkok to explore the city with my friend from high school. Ever since, there wasn't a year that I didn't go out of the city - whether abroad or within the country. I used to be very magastos with shopping, taxi rides, or hotels, but now I learned a lot on being practical and making good choices -- whether in my travels or in life (naks!).

I saw a lot of these changes and shift of priorities during my recent trip to Singapore - Malaysia.
Let me count the ways!

Parisian Plus: Shoes for Women with Sizes 9.5-12

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Before, shopping for shoes to me was a drag. Having big shoe size wasn't easy, I had little options and most of them hindi ko style. But gone are those days. Thank you to European and American brands, there are more trendy Size 10 shoes that I can choose from. But for more affordable and very stylish plus size shoes, my go-to brand is still Parisian Plus!

Shinjuku + My First Hanami

Tuesday, June 23, 2015

Almost done with my Japan posts, and almost ready for my next trip! For a moment, napaisip ako if this impulsive flight is a good idea, but after creating the itinerary last night, excited na ako and namiss ko na agad mag travel! What to use as Singapore personal hashtag kaya, haha! Hindi na siya fit like #Taiwanagon and #Japanagon! :D

Anyway, this post is dedicated to Shinjuku.

Ghibli Museum, Tokyo

Friday, June 19, 2015

I left my Ate at Ginza after she painfully toured me for hours at what she called "the biggest Uniqlo". I LOVE the brand so much, but that time I was already feeling antsy-anxious for my first commute alone in Tokyo. I was going to the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka!

When traveling, I always prefer hostels or Airbnb over 5-stars. I love the feel, the whole "I am a cowgirl" backpacker who can immerse in a new place, HAHA. Other than that, I also get to save on accommodation expenses, and spend it on other things like activities, food, or shopping! It's also a great way to meet fellow tourists you can share travel stories and tips and recommendations with.

Takeshita Street, Harajuku

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

We had less than 48 hours to explore Tokyo before our flight to Manila, when Ate recommended that we had to go to Harajuku because fashion. More than having a blog, and even before blogging, my life (cliche man) revolves around style and clothes.

In Harajuku is the 400m long Takeshita Street. This pedestrian-only, narrow lane in Harajuku is lined with mostly independent stores and restaurants. This is where the Tokyo youth go to shop and hangout -- thus it can be called the center of Tokyo's teen culture.

Kyoto + Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Tokyo

Tuesday, June 16, 2015

I've been lagging with my Japan (Japanagon) posts and I have so many reasons up my sleeve. These include work-related posts that needed to be accomplished first, or the many photos from the trip I had to sort through before making the post -- which takes a lot of my time!

Anyway, I am expecting another travel soon, so I have to finish all these Japanagon this week. I know the cherry blossoms had long vanished to make way for summer (and even summer is almost concluding!), but let me take you back on that beautiful Spring day for just this one last time...

UCC Clockwork Estancia Mall

Friday, June 12, 2015

June 11, UCC Clockwork Estancia Mall

I am a UCC girl, most probably because I like that my coffee is served to me on my table and not have my name called pa in the counter (#TitaProblems). I also love the ambiance (I usually go to the Glorietta branch), filled with older crowd having their quiet time and good coffee. And yes, just because the UCC Iced Coffee is so good and legit, and not just a "dessert coffee" type!

Family Trip and Mid-Year

Tuesday, June 09, 2015

May 29-31, Cebu

I remember the time when travels mean FRIENDS and only FRIENDS for me. Family travels are... hmm, not exactly boring or corny, but being with them every single day felt like a trip is just a normal day for us, just in a different setting. But now that I am older, and I see my friends more than my busy sisters and the parentals, going on a family trip is the new shiznit! Most especially when we're complete!

Here are some of the items that you might be able to take home EVEN WITH JUST 200 BUCKS IN YOUR WALLET when you attend #BU9xSMART this Saturday at the Whitespace Events Place (Makati).

1) A pair of cute, just slightly used sneakers!
Or other flats and sandals!

#PowerPout Against Cervical Cancer

Wednesday, June 03, 2015

May 28, Makati Shangri-La Hotel

Every woman is at risk.

Cervical cancer is a major problem for Filipino women: it is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among Filipinas, with seven dying of the dreaded disease every single day. What’s more worrying is that two in three Filipinas diagnosed with cervical cancer may die within five years. Cervical cancer is a risk for women regardless of race, age, lifestyle or socio-economic status.

I learned more about this during the GSK Philippines event last week. Click Read More and be informed!
