The Inspiration
Sultry. Sexy. Summer in Ibiza. Tanned. Tropical. Bohemian chic that has a harmonious vibe. Where flirtatiousness fuses with confidence. The look is effortless - casual, quick and easy. Perfect for end-of-the-day beach into the glamorous night air. The face is kissed with a glow of bronze dust while eyes shimmer with a liquid glaze of multi-reflective finishes. Silver, bronze and copper tones mingle beautifully while lips are seductively painted in rich colours.

May 16-18, Cebu City
I have to accept that this fast-paced life isn't going to slow down for me. I felt like I just came home from Cebu, and hadn't really fully rested yet (thus getting badly ill during one of my best friends' bridal shower, boo). This weekend, though, I'll be flying back to the sunny south of the country for another wedding of a family, so I might as well catch up with my blog stories for this Cebu trip! Wah!

Oversized White Polo - H&M | Black Nike Leggings - Zalora | Sandals - Birkenstock | White Bucket Bag - SM Parisian | Photos - @paultheprguy
Although malukutin and not at all flattering, I love my big white polo which I bought in H&M with Ate's gift voucher when I celebrated my birthday last January. It is practical, and "repeatable", people won't notice or wouldn't even mind. I've used it as a top (both hanging loose and tucked in), as an accessory (tied around my waist), as a cover-up, a dress, and even as a skirt! I've featured it in more than 5 OOTD posts, and I can still think of countless ways on how to wear it. I think for this look the Nike detail in my leggings made it a bit more interesting / different.
A little life update, so I'll be flooding you again with blog entries on my series of event-hopping since I got back from Cebu. Starting tomorrow I'll give myself a break to rest and work on online backlogs. Truth be told, I have to master saying "no" from now on, I think not getting a full day of rest since the trip is now taking its toll on my health. Going to 4 blog and personal events a day, attending 2 or more BU meetings may not sound as tiring, but now my eyes are red and tired, and I have caught a bad case of flu! As usual, always too late na when one realizes that health is wealth nga naman talaga! :p
May 21, Track 30th BGC
Global lifestyle brand TOMS had been very aggressive in their advocacy to create awareness for children's health and education, and it is really very inspiring. I am proud to say that I've been part of TWO One Day Without Shoes events already - The first one was in Greenbelt two years ago. I remembered how traffic-stopper our mini parade was, we walked the streets barefoot, cars zooming by next to us!
This year's venue was at the 30th Track in BGC, Taguig. I love every detail:

Here's the latest trend in Asian Skin Care for younger-looking skin: the Miracle Duo.
Some things really come in pairs. But when it comes to skincare, don't we want everything in just a bottle? After several trials, though, I realized that adding the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence to your facial regimen is worth it. Lightweight and easy to use, the product works wonders before applying the classic Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Cream - the duo gives you 2x key active penetration of product into the epidermis, making skin look up to 10 years younger!
I left Osaka with a broken heart. I was trying to just look forward, look ahead on our next stops, but I can't seem to leave our place just yet. Anyway, my plans is to go back for the other things and places in this city in 2 or 3 years, super bitin pa ako I had to drag myself outside and leave this door. I was thinking of our daily Lawson breakfasts when we left. :p
Thank you so much for believing in my weirdness!
- Katy Perry, Part of Me The Movie (hehe)
May 7, 2015, Philippine Arena
I am a big Katy Perry fan because I enjoy her songs and her as a crazy, over-the-top performer. Parating ang saya or may feels and inspiring, nothing in between! And although I can't say I am the biggest fan to the point that I'll go to her concert cladded in full-Katy Beth Terry costume, I've followed her for a long time nadin.
Take me back to 2002, in my senior year in high school. I remember that amidst juggling college applications, club responsibilities, and acads, I had a social life that consists of me and my best friend and our gitara. Every dismissal and feeling like hippies, we bring our instruments to our barkada tambayan where she’ll teach me how to play our favorite songs.
High school "Barx" and my best friend.
I'd say, there are 3 kinds of people: Those who go to the Boracay for its wild-wild parties, those who enjoy chilling-henna-Bob Marley-sun bathing-Jonah's overdosing while reading a book. And the adventurers, those who try out all the activities that Kuya-Manong with laminated price list can offer! Hehe. I'd like to think that I can be a little of these 3, but leaning more on the chill and sometimes (pag may budget at kasama) the adventurer type. Hehe! How about you?
TOMS takes their ONE for ONE movement to another level by inviting a few of the country's most creative, young talents in the fashion, art, and design industries to design a pair or two of TOMS Shoes. The customized shoes will then be displayed in TOMS' newest store in SM Aura, and auctioned to the highest bidder through this "The Art of Giving Gallery" campaign. True to the brand's vision, proceeds will go to each artist's chosen charities.
I started to reminisce and even think about my grade school classmates when I got an invitation from Kitkat to have a break and watch the Backstreet Boys Concert last May 5. How was our section's "Nick Carter", "Kevin", "Brian", "AJ", and "Howie" doing? Will they also be watching the concert? Are they going to watch it together?
On the day of the concert, I came from the Havaianas luau-themed event so I made sure may baon akong pamalit. Very 90s, I wore my Red classic Giordano tee (the one with the small man logo), a straight jeans, and my Birkenstock--I was ready to party as if I was 10 years old again!
Grade 5 Anagon can never afford this ticket, thank You Lord for this! If dati nanyari to, I would have relied on MTV / Vevo replay, Tiger Beat, or my walkman for BSB sound trip, hehe.
A big The Body Shop fan since high school (nail buffer and lip and cheek tint!), I learned that the brand is now a member of the SM Group of Companies. The expansion starts with The Body Shop's first-ever Shop-in-Shop concept store in the newly renovated The SM Store Makati. They are now even more accessible to me, yey!
With the right bag by your side, you'll always feel prepared for anything the spring or summer months have to offer. Spring brings rain showers that wash away the darkness and dinginess that winter left behind and allows plants and brightly colored flowers to flourish. Many of the top bags available this spring feature pastel colors and brighter shades the mimic the colors of those flowers. Summer bags are just a little brighter and have a little more space for all the things you need to carry. Not sure what bag is right for you? Check out some of the must have bags for spring and summer.
Canvas Tote Bag
One of the must have bags for spring and summer is a canvas tote bag. Made from canvas, these totes have reinforced bottoms that won't break when you fill the inside with all your belongings, and most bags also have reinforced handles for better carrying. Some bags also feature a small pocket on the outside and one or more pockets on the interior. A simple tote is perfect for carrying clothing from the beach to home, and you can even use one of these bags as a warm weather handbag.
Cosmetic Bag
How many times have you opened your suitcase or purse and found your makeup opened and smeared across the inside? Even if you screw the caps on tightly, those caps can still loosen when carrying your bag with you. With a cosmetic bag, you'll never again need to worry about those smears and leaks. Specifically designed for cosmetics, these bags are the perfect size for transporting lipstick, eye shadow, foundation and even hair care products. Many bags are smaller and can hold TSA approved bottles, which lets you take your cosmetics and hair care products with you on a plane.
Travel Bag
More people travel during the summer than any other season of the year. If you're a frequent traveler, you'll want a duffel or travel bag. These bags have multiple pockets for storing smaller items, reinforced stitching to protect your items and comfortable handles that won't rub against your hands. You'll even find monogrammed bags that let you add your initials or name to the front, which helps you quickly find your duffel at the airport. Cosmetic, travel and tote bags offer a number of benefits that make these bags three must haves for spring and summer.
I've prayed and prayed and attracted travel projects for the past months or so, so here I am with another recent trip to chronicle! I remember getting super ecstatic when I got an email invitation from Petrol Philippines to be with them in Boracay during Labor Day season (no less), AND along with my closest blog friend Pax! Aside from getting good vibes from all these perfect details, I also like the concept of Journey to Freedom adventure instead of just the usual "Laboracay" wild parties. In fact, our itinerary included pang-bucket list activities like parasailing, ATV, and cliff diving!
With Team Petrol Shannen and Paolo, who are both super chill and fun to be with. Pax was left by our plane! It was all over our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook that day, but good thing she was able to book a same-day flight naman! Yey!
